Chapter 72-You're a pure soul

"Since you came back" he said.

"Okay, so when you saw me, you had this urge to make everything right between us. Didn't you feel anything when you broke our friendship? " She asked him.

Although she was talking to him calmly, she was on the verge of losing her mind. I could sense it.

"Kriti, I think we should go" Siya tried to calm her down, probably sensing that the situation would be out of control any minute and she didn't want any scene to be created in our lobby.

"No Siya, I've had enough of his mood swings. What does he think of himself and, most importantly, what does he think of me? Am I some kind of doll to him with whom he can play and toss around when he's done with me? " Kriti said, looking at Siya.

Getting out of his grip, she said "I don't understand when finally I was minding my own business, I wasn't disturbing him at all like he wanted, why does he have to ask for my forgiveness? I agree that I used to cling to him in college, but now when I've realized that it's time to mind our business, suddenly he comes out of nowhere and asks for forgiveness? What do you think of yourself huh? "

I wanted to stop it but didn't have the heart to do it because I know how hurt Kriti was.

Siya looked at me and I gestured to her to stay quiet.

They are both adults and can handle their issues themselves and, moreover, we shouldn't interfere in their personal matters.

No matter how good friends we were, there's something called privacy which everyone should be given and personal space must be respected.

"Kriti I..." he began, but Kriti interrupted him, saying, "You said you wanted my forgiveness. Fair enough, but if you're so desperate for my apologies, where have you been for the past, oh, I don't know... four years? "

"I... I" he didn't have anything to say.

He looked at me I gave him a slight nod, just to assure him that if needed, I'd support him.

"I know you expected me to contact you when we passed out of college but I didn't. But I stalked you on social media, "he said.

"So?" she asked, unaffected.

"So, I wanted you to know that you were on my mind," he said.

"How would I know if you're saying the truth?" she asked him.

"I won't ever lie to you," he said with sincerity.

"Okay then, even if you're saying the truth, if you were sincere about my apology, why didn't you contact me?" she asked.

He said nothing but looked down.

"Even if you were guilty, how would I know if you didn't contact me?" she said.

"Sid, let me tell this straight. If you really want someone's forgiveness, the other person should know about it, but in my case, I knew nothing, "she said and glared at him.

"Your stalking me wasn't enough. If you had really been sorry, you would've approached me, at least, but you didn't," she said.

Sid was speechless because what she said was right.

I had asked this fucker numerous times to at least contact her once, but he kept delaying it and ignoring me, just the way I ignored his advice to contact Siya.

It seems like we both didn't want to face these girls.

"Sid, I'm sorry to say this, but why do I feel that you're asking for my forgiveness just because I'm around you now and the situation can't be avoided, rather than because you actually feel sorry for your actions so that we can both have civil communication, at the very least, and that would reduce the awkwardness between us? Is that right?" She asked him.
