CHAPTER 16

After I admit that I want a date with him, silence takes place. I am waiting for his answer but I don't think he would give me. So I should make the first move. "Uh, Ace.. If you don't like.. It's okay. Let's just go home." I uttered nervously waiting for his rejection while also preparing to leave. The last thing I need today is to assume.

"This is a nice place so let's try to explore it." He is hinting about something and I can sense it!

"Does that mean, we are here now for a date?" Hopefully, my assumptions are not wrong.

"It depends on you." Wooaaaah! Holy goodness. I must have done something good in my life for I am blessed today. Imagine, Ace and I are now on a date as he implied me. Oh, breathe Yesha. Calm down. Calm down.

We are still on the park as we are finally starting our 'date'. Big word 'date'. I told him that I don't want a traditional way of going out on a date where the guy and the girl would ate at a fancy restaurant after that, they will go somewhere more romantic then before the night ends the guy will get a kiss from the girl. Oh, so cliché. I've seen it in the movies for the millionth time. But I am hoping in a slightest bit that we can fulfill the last part. The kiss! Haha! I'm getting crazy again. Since this date is once in a lifetime, I want it to be more memorable. "So Ace, what do we do now?" I ask him on my side as we are both still sitting on the bench overlooking the sunset.

"I don't know." He simply answered. Guess, I have to think fast on what to do. Hmm, I look around and I spotted the street food cart. We should start our date by eating.

"Oh, Ace. Let's try the squid balls there." I immediately stand and drag him. And I didn't hear him complaining.

We ate for almost 30 minutes and to say I had fun eating in just squid balls is nothing but the truth. Of course, it would never been this fun without Ace.

After eating, we are now walking along the sidewalk. I was about to ask Ace something when another something behind him caught my attention. "Ace, let's go get ice cream! I want ice cream." I almost shouted pointing at the ice cream shop behind him.

"We just ate squid balls. Ice cream and squid balls are not a good combination." He declines my idea so I pouted. No any combination will stop me from eating ice cream!

"But I want ice cream!" Without any further hesitation, I drag him again and we cross the road. We enter the shop and I observe the place. It's simple but clean.

"Good evening Ma'am, Sir!" The lady on the counter beamed at us. I walk towards her as Ace is beside me still complaining. I decided to ignore him for a while and I look at the choices on displayed.

"Ahmmm.. Cookies and cream please on the large cup!" I was excited on my order. How I miss eating ice cream. "How about you Ace?" I turn to him but he just shook his head. I was disappointed on his answer. Considering it should have been my treat this time as he paid for all the squid balls we ate earlier. I turn again to the lady to pay my order then she handed me my change and the receipt. "Just wait your order for a minute Ma'am!" The energetic lady told me.

We only wait for 5 minutes until my order came. "Enjoy your ice cream Ma'am!" I smiled to the lady as I answer her. "Definitely!" Then Ace and I both leave the store while I started digging my ice cream. I moan in pleasure as I taste my indulgement. One thing I can say is, ice cream never fails to please my taste.

"You want Ace?" I asked him as we are both walking again to nowhere. But as always, he only shook his head.

"Okay!" And I continue eating. Not bothering to persuade him.

"Ace, where are we going?" I asked after I took a big scoop of ice cream from my cup.

"I don't know but I guess let us just go there." He answered pointing to the place where I can see few stalls selling various items and there were also food stalls. Yeah! Food again! I am craving for many food today since spying is never been an easy job to do.
