"Lis I just don't want to go there. It might not be worth it. After all Darryl put me through, I can't be let down like that again. I don't even want him getting close to Delaney."

"Dessiah you really think you can out think JESUS? IF he wants you guys together it's going to happen either voluntary or everything will go wrong. Then you're going to volunteer to surrender. Your choice but it's going to happen."

"Well, I rebuke that in the name of Jesus!" Dessiah laughed.

"Alright chick keep playing with God and that man you got sweating you. Lord she don't want him so can you send me my future baby daddy faster please!"

"Whatever!"

Sunday came faster than wanted and it was going to be a quiet day. Dessiah had taken time to show Lisa around and they even planned on visiting a natural spring today. The day before had been full of adventure and she planned for today to be no different. However she hadn't expected to get a call from the office today.

"Hello?"

"Hey Dessiah its Paris."

"Hey Paris what are you doing in the office on a Sunday?"

"Honey I've been asking myself that since I got here this morning. Our lovely boss asked for me to come in here AT THE BREAK OF DAWN. I hope you here my sarcasm."

"I heard that!" Detrick called out from his office.

"Anyway De, Bobby really liked you and wanted to know if you wanted to meet for dinner tonight."

"I can't Paris Lisa and I are hanging out today."

"Yea buts it's tonight like maybe 8 o'clock."

"Can he do it tomorrow?" Dessiah asked.

"No because their leaving to go back to base early in the morning like 3 am. Come on it will be fun and it will be just you and him." Detrick listened to her conversation from in his office and became annoyed. Was Paris really setting his woman up on a date?

"Paris?" Detrick whispered coming to stand next to her. She put her hand up to have him hold on. "Paris what the hell are you doing?"

"I'm hooking my friends up." She whispered with her hand over the phone.

"Put her on hold."

"De can you hold on a second?" Placing her on hold she looked at Detrick frustrated.

"What Detrick I'm on the phone?!?!"

"Paris one minute you say that I should give Dessiah a try and then you set her up on a date."

"Yea but since you aint pissing on the pot, so GET OFF! Hello De, hey girl I'm back so what do you say? Great I made the reservations at Tinusea which is two blocks from here. Remember 8 o'clock don't be late."

"Okay Paris I'll see him then."

"Oh and make sure you wear red."

"Why red?"

"Because red excites the brain and honey you wanna do all the exciting you can before that good looking man leaves."

"Hahaha. Bye."

"Bye." Paris hung up the phone and could feel Detrick staring a hole into the side of her head. She refused to look at him. "I know you're staring at me because the whole left side of my face is hot."

"Your wrong and you know it." Detrick scolded her.

"Your right I am. What was I thinking? I have to call him and let him know she accepted. Oooowee it's about to be on like popcorn and she's wearing a red dress. With those curves and his deep voice there is bound to be chemistry. Oh yea! Let me pat myself on the back in advance." Paris did just that smiling and Detrick turned away in a huff slamming his office door. Hell would freeze over before another man would lust over Dessiah and he would make sure of it.

7:20 pm and Bobby had been sitting in the restaurant for thirty minutes. He showed up extra early he was extremely nervous. Sitting at the bar in the dimly lit restaurant and he had already started his third drink.

"Hey." A man taking a seat on the stool next to him said.

"Hey." Bobby greeted.

"You look nervous."

"First date. Well I mean first date by ourselves before we met with friends."

"Oh. Cool. What's she like?" The stranger asked.

"She seems cool and so beautiful, but I don't know."

"What don't you know?"

"If she's in my league. I like her but it didn't seem like we clicked all the way when we first met. I'm not crazy and I know when I hit it off with someone but I don't know why I get the feeling she was holding back. Maybe I'm reading into it and she was as nervous as I was so hopefully tonight will be better. Oh man, here I am rambling to you."

"No its cool. I'm O'neal, what's your name?

"Bobby." He reached out to shake Oneal's hand.

"Well man if I know anything I know that whatever is meant to be will be. Don't put all your expectations out there. If you guys are meant to be it will and if not it wont you just move on and know someone else out there is for you."

"Yea thanks man."

"No problem. Excuse me for a second I need to make a call." Oneal stood from the stool and returned ten minutes later and Bobby was finishing his last drink.

"Hey Oneal you were right man. I guess it wasn't meant to be. She just called and the restaurant to have them tell me she can't make it she's sick. Sick in the head if she thinks I believe that she came down with something thirty minutes before our date. Whatever. Like you said it wasn't meant to be."

"Hey no worries at least now you know."

"Yea I'm going to get out of here. I need to get some sleep I head back to base in the morning.

"Well take care." Oneal Reached out his hand.

"Yea you too." Bobby took out his wallet to pay for his drinks.

"Naw man I got it."

"No it's cool."

"Hey Bobby you just got stood up I got it. Get out of here. Haha." Bobby patted Oneal's shoulder and was out the door.

8:05pm

Dessiah stepped out of the cab and looked herself over in the restaurant window reflection. Pulling on her red fitted dress that fit every curve like a clove. The back rides low leaving an open back that would make any man want to run his hands. Her black peep toe heels made her long legs longer and posture impeccable. Dessiah pinned up her hair with a small curl on the side of her face and light gloss for her lips. Taking a deep breath she sprayed her elf one last time with Burberry sport and headed in the restaurant. Dessiah didn't see Bobby anywhere so she turned to the hostess for help.

"Hello I'm looking for a man named Bobby. Tall, white, good looking. Have you seen him?"

"No I just start. I just come in. But we seat you and he come for you."

"Umm okay. The hostess seated Dessiah in the middle of the restaurant at a table for two. She asked for a glass of water and nearly gulped it once the waiter brought it. Time was passing and Bobby was nowhere to be found so she dialed Paris but her phone went straight to voicemail numerous times. Dessiah decided to wait it out. Moments later a rose was used to tap her shoulder and she smiled pulling it into her hand.

"Bobby I thought you weren't coming." Coming around the voice said.

"I wouldn't miss this for the world. Besides I got tired of seeing you sitting by yourself." Dessiah's face changed as if she seen a ghost at he took a seat across from her.

"Detrick! What are you doing here?!?!"

"Sitting in the place I want to be. Here with you.
