Maya's POV

Me and Asley have been best friends since elementary school. We are more like sisters. Asley loves him a lot, and of what she tells me, I am pretty sure Waleed loves her too. I never saw Waleed. I had asked Asley many times to show me a picture of him but her mother was really strict and made sure Asley had no contact with Waleed in the past few months.
When asley told me she would runway, I was totally petrified. I can't offer her my home, since it would be the first place her mother would come to. I never knew the reason why aunt Romaisa, Asley's mother, rejected Waleed and nor did Asley.
I quickly prayed isha prayer and asked ALLAH to forgive asley for running away and keep her safe.
I hope she gets a place to sleep overnight. The guilt of not offering asley a room tonight filled me and I quietly cried myself to sleep...

Ayans's POV.

Wow, I seriously can't believe this. My parents were a role model for me but what they were doing was completely wrong. I prayed to ALLAH to keep that girl safe, who my parents were forcing me to marry . I didn't even know her name, nor have I ever seen her. I refused to marry her many times, but my parents were just after her beauty... They knew they were doing a sin, and I couldn't even stop them. They were buying her, they would bring her in this house as a slave... I couldn't think of this anymore. Poor girl, I hope someone helps her out of this nikkah. My parents were already at the girl's house waiting for me, but I have decided that I won't go. If that's the only way to stop this forceful and haram marriage where there is no nikkah but only buying and selling then I am fine with my decision. I knew my parents would be mad at me for nearly weeks. So I took my essential stuff and headed to my friends house for a couple of days. Leaving my groom dress on the bed, just the way my mom left it before going. I couldn't even touch it. I would never ruin someone's life... I just couldn't.

Asley's POV

I quickly stood up from my dressing chair, and got a small bag out of the cupboard. I threw whatever I saw in my cupboard into my small bag. I headed for the back door which thanks to ALLAH was not locked. From the slightly moved curtains, that covered the place where the guests were sitting, I saw a couple in their late forties or fifties sitting quite impatiently. And my parents who kept glancing towards my bedroom door. "I am sorry mom and dad" a tear escaped my eye and I knew that I had to hurry up. There was no one at the front door which also thanks to ALLAH was opened. Before taking a step out of the house, i glanced back to it for the last time. I knew my parents would forbid me to come back into it. Without wasting anymore time I ran out of my neighborhood, it was quite dark and scary. I had no place to go. Waleed lived in another city. I kept running until I fell to the ground from the headache I was having. Someone picked me up, it was a young handsome man. For a moment I got really scared but then he backed away noticing my horrified face. " My name is Ayan, sister. Can I help you?"
