I have issues

I was on the floor eating a couple of celery sticks with little ranch. Weird snack I know, he only feeds me healthy stuff and when it's sweets it's the healthier version of that. Except those cookies that one time he tried to suck up to me, those were normal.
He works all day in formal attire because of the way he is dressed and his office do is always locked, he must make a good living to sustain two people-..4....4 people..I shudder, and keep the freezers running all by himself.
I think to myself, he must do something illegal, like sell things on the black market or He's an assain or he runs a mafia!
I shake my head, this is gonna drive me crazy. I get up and walk downstairs to see him on the couch take a deep breath. "Hey Five" I sit on the stairs
He looks at me "Hey there, come sit!" He invites
"No, I uh-"
He gives me a look
I walk over to him and sit
"Thank you" he kisses me head "so did you need something?"
"No I just had a question"
"Go ahead" he mused
"What do you do, for work" I tilt my head, he's probably gonna lie, or tell me something super gross or scary-
"I'm a doctor"
"Eh?"
"More accurately a surgeon"
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, it probably seemed more suspicious because I never let you see my work laptop, I come home late and my office is always closed. I don't let you see my stuff because I want to keep my patients files completely secured and safe, I care for them much" he stated passionately, the look in his eye and his composure told me he wasn't lieing
"If you don't belive me I could show you this one man who is scheduled for surgery very soon"
Did not see that coming, that does explain how he had all that equipment.
He smiles at my dumbfoundedness "It sounds like a lie but I assure you it's real, c'mon" he stands up with his laptop and walks to his office unlocking it with a key and ushers me in It looked like every generic office ever which was surprising

Five sits down and I stand next to his desk, he pulls out a file and slides it to me as he logs into his laptop "These people are suffering some WERE suffering until I helped them, I always dreamed to be a doctor"
I opened the file and saw the man he was about to show me had lung cancer and desperately needed surgery.
Two seconds in I hear, meowing and voices, I look up to see him frantically click out of a funny cat video, I smirk and snatch his laptop and start to go through his history and run as fast as I can. He only caught up because I was being sloppy, I am so much faster than him
"ALEX GIVE ME THE DAMN COMPUTER!!" He raged
I laugh and read his history out loud "Funny cat videos 1 hour of hilarious cats Cats being precious for 15 minutes Cute/Funny cats and their owners Cats being dicks for an hour You have a cat video addiction!?" I burst out laughing He growled and tries to catch me As I go along the list it gets sad "Things girls like How to Apologize to a girl without making her mad Therapists for anger issues How long is the sentence for kidnapping Nearest police station The Death penalty what happens when a criminal turns themselves in" I slowed down to a complete stop, I turn to face him and he has slowed down to an ashamed walk and is holding back tears "I've considered turning myself in and letting you go so many times...so many" he covers his face "I want to get better for you but I don't want to lose you Alex, I've toyed with you taken so much from you and even more from others.."
I touch his cheek and he shakes his head "I'm sick..I'm so sick and I need help. B-but that shouldn't mean shit to you. You shouldn't believe me, I have done nothing to make you trust me" he pulls away and takes the laptop and turns away
"I love you so much Alex, soso much and I don't want to kill you, I don't. That is why I let you see the basement, it wasn't a threat it was my way of saying this is who I am..none of those girls saw that basement alive. You're the first"
This feels different, the first time he tried to confess and let me go he tried to cover up who he was and act like he was totally reformed and ready to face himself.
But now, he is showing me how truly broken he is, not only showing his guilt but he is trying to truly face himself right in front of me.
"I do truly hate you for what you've done to me and it feels like I'll never forgive it or forget it" I look down at my scarred and burned legs, I turn away and walk off "but if you want my forgiveness, prove it. I will not be gullible like last time"
I walk off and go upstairs, if he really feels that guilty about what he did to me then I'll wait for that.
