I... have no name. I'm just called "Seiryuu"... I was born in a village called Seiryuu Village. I heard that my own mother committed suicide because I was born to be the next beast that has the power of the dragon's eyes, though I didn't understand back then. I... really can't recall any memories, but I was taken care by the previous Seiryuu named Ao. However, my very first memory is the darkness... ever since I wore a mask.

Four years later, I saw kids playing with each other. As someone like me wanted to make friends, I... kind of jumped in and told them if I could watch them play. Without an answer, they were all frightened then ran away from me. *sighs* Then Ao, the previous Seiryuu appeared beside me then took me "home". I don't know why but I heard many people murmuring about us even though I don't recall. It makes me wonder... what did we, Seiryuus do wrong?

Ao... he was angry at me because I went outside without him knowing, but more likely it's one of the rules in the village. I told him that I wanted to make friends, but he rejects it. I know it's impossible for me to make friends because I have the eyes of Seiryuu... just like Ao. I know he was the previous Seiryuu so I asked him. To tell you the truth, the question always bothered for me to ask even so I want to know why.

Me: Why does everyone in the village run from us? Is my power cursed?

Ao: ... Those who see the Seiryuu's eyes turn into stone.

I was shocked when I heard him say that. He told me it was a made-up rumor that the villagers believe.

Ao: You will not turned into stone. (covers his eyes)  But Seiryuu's eyes paralyze the nerves of those who see them.  It can even paralyze their hearts. Either way, it's a creepy power.

I was scared. Even though I never knew that the eyes of Seiryuu would be "cursed" either way. Ao... was angry at me. Suddenly, something hit me as I looked at the window.

Me: Ao, bad people are here.

Ao: ! Are they close?

Me: They're standing around a campfire, looking this way.

Ao: Damn it! (going to get his sword and mask then almost fell down)

I went to Ao's side to help him, but he rejects it. Ao grew blinder everyday. But my eyes could see farther and farther, as though they were absorbing power from Ao's eyes. We both went to the place where the bad people were at. Ao... Ao was strong, even though he was blind. I... was also amazed by his swordsmanship. He told me that I have to learn how to swordsmanship quickly as possible.

Me: Ao, why do you use a sword? Don't you use your eyes against bad people?

Ao... told me he'll teach me to control them, but I must never use them. He also said they're double-edged sword, which means paralyzing my opponents and also can paralyzed myself. I told him if I could protect the village with a sword, will I ever make friends. He was silence for a moment then told me, I wouldn't. I... was disappointed, but the answer is obvious. From then on, Ao taught me to use a sword. Ao taught me about the power of my eyes. Ao was stern. I... continued my life as what he said.

Days passed by, Ao grew weaker and weaker. After the battle, the bad people ran away. Ao's kneels sat on the grass. I went by his side and told me that the bad people ran away. A sudden laughter came out from his mouth, as he scream proudly, saying that he can finally die and he's now a human. I was silent as I stepped an object behind me. Ao and I walked back to the village as something began jinging on my mask.
