I get woken up by a soft, cautious voice, being shaken awake gently.
"What-" I turn over under my sheets to see Billie, standing nervously at my bedside, her lips forming the tiniest smile.
"Oh." I say quietly, remembering everything that happened yesterday. "Thanks."
I let out a small groan as I sit up, my iron deficiency trying to kill me.
"Why are you here?" I ask, realising how rude that sounded only after it came out my mouth.
"I um, I felt bad for what happened yesterday and.." she trails off sheepishly, obviously having not thought her sentence through before saying it.
"Oh, well okay." I say, my face blank as I avoid her eyes.
Billie, obviously feeling a little guilty, murmers a quick goodbye before leaving the dorm, already fully dressed and ready for the school day.
To be honest, I kind of feel bad for what happened last night. I don't know if overreacted slightly.
Billie seems like she is genuinely sorry but there's still this part of me full of doubt.
I can't help it.
I know I should probably apologise to Billie for yelling at her but I can't help but let my pride control me, telling me I did the right thing and that my feelings are perfectly valid.
Is that bad?
Suddenly, I remember what happened only moments before I fell asleep last night, everything flooding back to me.
The letter.
Sure enough, I look over to my dresser and there lays an envelope and a little blue box. I also notice a new cardboard box, on the floor next to my dresser.
Curious, I open the box first, gasping at the contents.
I can only imagine how expensive that must be.
Inside the blue container, resting in-between two, black velvet pillows, lays a ring.
Not just any ring, but the death moth ring from heart of bone that I've wanted ever since I laid eyes on it.

(the ring)
It was always too expensive for me to buy, everytime I finally got my hands on the money, it would be sold out.
Carefully putting the lid back on the box, I pick up the letter next, leaving the cardboard box till last.
To be honest, I'm pretty suprised and Billie's penmenship in this letter. I can tell she put a lot of effort into this which only makes my heart soar higher than before.
