It was snowing and I was walking down the sidewalk. I wasn't suppose to be out here. I was suppose to be with my girlfriend but we got into a fight and I was pissed. I took walks when I was pissed, if I didn't I'd start breaking things.

I knew Emma was probably used to it. She knew moments when she really pissed me off. I would never lay my hands on her though, no matter how many times the thought filled my head; before you judge me it's not something I can exactly control.

I just get thoughts, sometimes too fast for me, and it flashes for a second. But for the regret it sheds twice the amount. I feel like if I take a walk I'll be able to control myself from the serious damage I would've caused.

So that's how I got here. I was walking one minute then tasting my own blood the next. Something shoved me to the ground, and then I heard her voice behind me. She followed me. It wasn't her that shoved me though, it was a figure moving towards her. I stood up as best I could rushing myself towards it.

I tackled whoever it was pinning them to the ground. I wouldn't let her get hurt. Neither of us should've been out here. That's all I could think about. We shouldn't have gotten in a fight, and we most certainly shouldn't have been out here.

"Emma, call the cops!" I yelled, looking away from the person below me for a spilt second, wrong move. The person kicked me off, sending me back. I felt my whole body shatter. The guy came rushing my way before punching me again. He turned for Emma, who stood in shock. I felt the adrenaline kick in, I stood up again. "C-call the cops."

I had him below me again. For a split second I had him, she dialed the number. He kicked me off, he ran off. She finished her call running towards me. It was cold. I hated snow. It was red.

"Y/n." She knelt down beside me. "You're okay. It's just a scratch," she muttered. "I'm sorry, we shouldn't--"

"Shut up. If I die, I don't want to hear about how sorry you are. I don't care because I already know, or else you wouldn't be out here with me, so shut up." She threw herself onto me, gripping tightly at me. "Em, that hurts."

"You'll live," she muttered.

"Maybe," I whispered. "It hurts."

"I know," she said sniffling. "I know, baby, they'll be here soon."

"He got me," I whispered. I lifted my shirt up revealing a cut.

"Y/n.." Emma sobbed.

"I'm sorry. It was going to be you, I couldn't let that happen." She took her scarf off applying pressure to it. "I h-hate the snow." I let out a laugh. "Am I going to die?"

"No. It's not that bad," she said, giving me a smile. "Thank you."

"Anything for you Watson," I smirked. "Hey, hey, if I die, can you--"

"You aren't going to die!" she said sternly. "They are almost here."

"I love you," I whispered. We had yet to say it. I always have to be the first for everything.
