Never Be Apart

CHAPTER 16

I'm happy because I helped them but I'm sad because Yoo Ki doesn't even pay attention to me.

When I opened the door she immediately went inside and we saw her brother sound asleep. I scratched my head as she took a deep breath. I couldn't stop myself from laughing and thought that they had panicked too much because of this boy who is just sleeping peacefully.

So I'm right in my assumption that they are siblings?Natawa akong muli ng maalala yung lalaking taga ibang section na nagbalita sa akin na may kaakbay daw si Yoo Ki. I also breathed a sigh of relief because it was his brother.

"Hayop na Yoon Gi, tinakot ako!" naagaw ni Ah Ki ang atensyon ko ng bigla siyang magsalita at lumapit dun sa kapatid ni Yoo Ki para hilahin ang kumot na nakatalukbong sa kanya. Yoon Gi pala ang pangalan ng kapatid niya.

"Oh? Bakit ate Ah K-" when he turned to us he was immediately surprised! Maybe he didn't expect so many people he would see this morning. He even asked why we were so many and then he immediately stood up and ran towards CR causing me to chuckle. 

Lumapit sa pinto ng CR si Yoo Ki at pinapalabas ang kapatid,his brother shouted that he was okay so I smiled again. But I was surprised when Yoo Ki turned on me. It looks bad so I automatically shut up and look away! Napalingon din sakin yung ibang kasama niya kaya bigla akong nakaramdam ng hiya. I just stood straight and pretended to be serious about what was happening.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito at paano mo nalaman ang bahay ko?", I was surprised again by Yoo Ki's sudden question so I quickly looked at her. Hindi ako nakasagot agad pero hindi ko pinahalata na nagulat ako. I blocked my hand in front of her and pretended to be afraid of her attack in case she attacked me.Nakatingin na din sa akin yung mga kasama niya kaya binaba ko agad yung kamay ko at bumuntong hininga.

"Condolence", was the first word that came to my mind. Tutal naman ay yun ang dahilan ko kaya nagmamadali akong pumunta dito. I saw Yoo Ki's sudden dementia and the tears quickly rolled down her cheeks, her other friend also turned to me so I just bowed down. I don't know but I feel hurt to see Yoo Ki's crying, eh we're not that close yet.

"Paano mo nalaman?", dagdag na tanong niya ng mahimasmasan siya. I looked at her again and tried to look her in the eyes while thinking of a reason.

"That's what the whole school talked about, the teachers had a plan to visit here but that plan stopped when they found out that only relatives can visit", sinikap kong hindi mautal. I just heard it earlier while I was asking my classmate where their house is. I hope she believes. "I don't know but I'm feeling ahm .."iniisip ko pa ng magandang way para sabihin iyon. "I'm just feeling that what .. You need me during these times?", I want to beat myself up for saying that! Yoo Ki might think I'm assuming.

Napabuga siya ng hangin saka napaiwas ng tingin, narinig ko naman ang matunog na ngisi nung isa pa nilang kaibigan. Napalingon ako doon ngunit napaiwas din ng makitang deretso itong nakatitig sa akin!

"As you can see.." tinuloy ko ang pag sasalita habang pinapakita ang suot ko. "The first period isn't over yet but someone seems to be whispering to me that I need to go here--",
