Chapter 38 - Farewell (Under Editing)

Start from the beginning

Me: What now?

Hawkeye puts her hand on her forehead.

Hawkeye: Not to sure yet.

Fuery: I'm going to warn everyone else, good luck you two.

We both nod as he leaves.

Me: Well I guess we wait for Mustang. I hope he's okay.

Hawkeye: Knowing Mustang, he'll have things under control... I hope.

I barely hear her say the last part and turned to the road to see a running Armstrong... Oh nooooo! He pulls me and Hawkeye into a tight hug, suffocating both of us.

Me & Hawkeye: Let.. uss.. down!

He quickly lets us go and I lean on the car to breathe.

Armstrong: Not fair. I haven't seen you both in a long time.

Hawkeye: I saw you earlier today...

I roll my eyes as Armstrong basically cries from her cold comment.

Hawkeye: Anyways what brings you here Armstrong?

He regains himself like it never happened and stands up straight.

Armstrong: I heard your team is being transferred, is it true?

Hawkeye: Yes.

Armstrong turns to me and sees the letter in my hand.

Me: I'm being transferred too.

Armstrong grabs my letter and his eyes brighten up.

Armstrong: The North Command Centre? That's where my sister is!

My jaw drops... He has a sister? I hope she doesn't look like... I look to Armstrong more closely... Him.

Me: So your sister huh? Is she like the boss or something?

I nervously laugh.

Armstrong: Actually yeah, why?

I gulp. Oh dear god.

Hawkeye: Armstrong could you dismiss me from my post for a little bit?

Armstrong: Sure thing Hawkeye.

Hawkeye drags me to the washroom so Armstrong can't hear us.

Hawkeye: She's not as bad as you might imagine her to be. Although she takes her job very seriously, so don't get on her bad side.

I nod.

Me: Fair enough.

We soon leave the washroom to hear...

???: Lieuten...

Armstrong: What is the matter, Colonel? You look pale.

Colonel? Mustang? I look to Hawkeye who is already ahead of me.

Mustang: Do you know any man who looks rosy when he goes to a meeting spot where a women is waiting and finds a muscle-bound mustache-head instead?

I giggle as me and Hawkeye get into Mustang's view.

Hawkeye: Lietenant Hawkeye, reporting back after using the restroom.

I just shrug my shoulders.

Hawkeye: I availed myself of Major Armstrong's generosity, and allowed him to relieve me for a short while.

She turns to Armstrong.

Hawkeye: Thank you very much, Major.

Armstrong: Not at all.
