Chapter 18

        Months had passed since everyone thought that I was dead. We knew that Reiner and Bertholdt were Titan shifters. And they had run off with Ymir, who tried to drag Historia along with them but failed. Ymir definitely cared about her in a romantic way, I shipped it. But I also felt bad for Riener because he also liked her a lot. Honestly, how can you not enjoy the presence of Historia? Even though she can be a bit fake sometimes.

We had made a plan to retake Wall Maria, the same wall that was overthrown by the colossal and armored Titans. It was the destructive attack from back when Eren, Mikasa, and Armin were still quite young. We now learned that it was caused by both Riener and Bertholdt. Using Eren's abilities, we wanted to cover up the hole in the wall. I was sure that everyone who was there that day would have PTSD from such events.

So far, we had been successful, but something didn't feel right. No one was trying to attack us and that was suspicious to a lot of people. Armin, the genius that he was, told us to look for any hollow areas in the wall to check for Riener or Bertholdt. When we finally found Riener, Levi stabbed him in the neck with his sword, which was useless given that he ended up transforming to delay his death and heal himself.

After a while of fighting back, Bertholdt was launched into the air inside of a barrel that the beast Titan had directed at us. Attempting to negotiate, Armin talked to him from a distance. It was too late, Bertholdt transformed into the colossal titan, exploding over Hanji's squad and hundreds of more soldiers. "Bertholdt! What the hell are you doing? I thought we were friends..." I shouted while standing on his shoulder.

"It's too late now, Y/N. You and everyone inside of the walls have to die," he responded.

"But is it? You don't have to do this, do you think you're doing God's work or something?"

"Yes, yes it is. You're all a waste of space!"

"Wow...that kinda hurt. You've really lost it, haven't you?"

"I guess so, I'm sorry. But this is what needs to happen," he then used his powers to heat himself up and the air around him, making it impossible to hook onto him. I flew away from the blazing hot steam as Riener caught me and took my unconscious body away.

I was held inside of the armored Titan's slimy mouth. His jaws were so strong I couldn't get myself loose as I banged on his wet teeth from the inside. At that point, I was covered in the slippery saliva of the monster holding me hostage. Everything began to get really foggy and I fell over.

           I remember light shining through the kaleidoscope-like orb that encased me as I fell out of the armored Titan's mouth. Confusion washed over me, what is going on? An echoed banging caught my attention as I looked through the clear crystal to see Armin, Sasha, and Jean trying to get me out. They were yelling something about how they needing me, that they can't lose me. These words just made me wonder, w-where am I? What is this? I can't move!

           An explosion went off and my three friends had to leave me there, trapped in whatever the hell this was. I don't remember ever being able to do this. Wasn't this Eren's power? What about Levi? Where is he? Is he ok? Is he alive? Did I ever tell him how much I loved him? Does he know how much he means to me? I can't express those feelings anymore. It's too late. I love you, Levi, even if you'll never know the full extent. I mean, yeah I've told you 'I love you' before. But do you even know how much?
