I crossed my fingers and squeezed my eyes shut, hoping Emery, one of the 12 judges, would say my name.
"Soloist Biana Vacker!"
My eyes flew open, and Sophie, Maruca, Fitz, Dex, and Keefe crush me in a tacle-hug. "YOU WON!" Sophie screamed. Tears of disbelief formed in my eyes. All those years of practice, nailing perfection, had all paid off.
I was going to Nationals.
