As Ryder and the pups, along with Spirit and Kwazii, walked back home, it started to rain...

"Aw no wet!, Yuck!" Rocky said as he ran ahead

"Wocky!, it's only water" Zuma called out as he went after him

"Oh Rocky" Ryder giggled, as he and the rest of the pups, and Kwazii as well as Spirit, were already wet from the rain

As they kept walking, Ryder heard a carriage and yelling from a distance, Which meant Humdinger and  his stepbrother's were coming back, He along with his pups, ran back inside their home, as the pups all ran back upstairs into the attic, as Ryder quickly buried the glass shoe in the chimney's dirt and hid it, as the stepfamily came inside...

"Cinderyder!" the step brother's called out

"Wake up!" Fin shouted "tea and a plate of biscuits"

"Welcome back" Ryder said with a small smile

"you look cheerful?, and wet?" Harold said as he noticed how wet Ryder was

"Oh!, I took a walk in the rain, to cheer myself up" Ryder said

"typical" Fin said as both step brothers sat on the dinner table

"Tea" Ryder said as he quickly went to prepare tea, for the stepbrothers

"We did not communicate through mere words" Harold told Ryder "our souls that precisely, in my soul and the princess soul" Harold continued " your soul was over by the banquet table" Harold said the last sentence to his brother, Fin

" She didn't seem to dance with me" Fin said back at Harold

"Dance with you" Humdinger said as he walked into the kitchen "She didn't even speak to you" Humdinger said as he sat down at the table

"It wasn't our fault, Father" Harold started " it was that boy"

"the mystery prince" Fin corrected

"Mystery Prince?" Ryder said trying to sound as questionable "I owe too charming notion" he said as he got up to refill the teapot

Humdinger just scuffed, and said "He was no prince, He's a preening interloper, who made a spectacle of himself."

"Oh?" Ryder questioned

Humdinger looked at him and said "Vulgar young hussy marched into the ball unaccompanied, if you will and to the horror of everyone, threw himself at the princess sister" Humdinger finished

"And she actually danced with the ugly thing" Harold said

"Yes" Ryder sighed

"Yes, it was pity, he was to polite to send him packing in front of everyone, you see" Fin said

" I heard, that if she doesn't the same prince she danced with, she would be marrying prince Connor" Humdinger said

"it's so very unfair" Harold said

"yes" Humdinger answered in a mumble, as he looked at Ryder

Later that night when everyone was asleep, Ryder quietly and quickly dug up the glass shoe from the chimney dirt, and went back up the stairs into the attic, as he reach the attic and opened the door, he saw the pups that are getting ready for bed...

"Hello again pups" Ryder said with a smile, as he opened a wooded plank on the floor, were he kept a box, of the things he cherished when his parents use to be alive, and from his childhood, he gently placed the glass shoe in the box, as he looked at the pups and said to them...

"Thank you for your help today pups" He said as he showed a soft smile "It was really like a dream, better than a dream"

"No problem" Chase said " When ever you need a paw, just yelp for help"

"defiantly" Rubble said

Ryder giggled, at the catchphrase Chase said, as Ryder went over to a small chest and opened it, as he took out a journal, as he sat on his bed, and started writing down all the thing's that had happened, so that he would remember every single bit of it, just as if he was telling his father and mother, about the palace ball, and his time with the princess sister.
