did all my boxes arrive? do I have everything? oh my god did I lock the door? oh god

oh god

OH GOD

"Miss Winters?"

"Yes hi, so sorry I'm late, my flight got delayed"

"It's no problem ma'am, are those your bags?"

I look down beside me and make sure I have all of my bags with me and nod.

"Let me take those and follow me" he smiles and leans down to lift them up from the floor like they weigh nothing.

Jesus they weigh a ton, how does he do that?

I glance back and I can only make out his figure in the distance, his long legs striding him through the crowds. Fuck.

I start running to catch up with him and get out of breath straight away, and Im praying no-one can hear my heavy breathing, how embarrassing.

I follow him outside to the car which is ready waiting near the entrance and I glance around.

New York.

Ive been dreaming of living here since I was a child and its so much bigger in person. It smells.. weird?

"Ma'am" I look back at the car and he's holding the door open for me and I pick my feet up, climbing inside the car, whispering a quiet 'thank you'.
