Ava's POV

"Hmm..."

Nagising ako ng tumama yung sinag ng araw sa mata ko. Agad akong napalingon sa tabi ko---

Marquis is not here.

"Great." Walang gana kong sabi.

"Good morning "

Bumangon ako at naupo sa kama, napalingon ako sa nagsalita. It's Marquis. He's topless and he's just wearing his pajamas. May bitbit itong breakfast in bed na tray. Naglakad ito papunta sa kamay at nilapag sa tabi ko yung tray. Hinalikan naman niya ako sa noo after that.

Napatingin ako sa pagkain. It's a two waffle pero durog durog ito. May toasted bread rin with avocado and chili flakes. Take note, toasted talaga. And of course, some lemon tea.

"I know it doesn't look good. But I made sure it's delicious. I woke up early to make these " pagpumilit nito.

Napangiti nalang ako. Kinuha ko yung fork at nag slice ng piece of waffle na durog, may honey naman ito sa ibabaw.

Fuck. I taste like nothing.

Kinuha ko yung avocado toast. Kahit nasobrahan sa sunog yung bread, tinikman ko pa rin. Nakakadalawang nguya palang ako, sapilitan ko nang nilunok.

"So? How was it?"

Tinignan ko naman si Marquis.

"It's disgusting." Seryoso kong sagot.

"I know. This is my first time to cook." Sabi nito.

"Don't even bother cooking again." Natatawa kong sabi.

Tinignan ako nito ng masama dahil sa sinabi ko. Lumapit naman ako rito at hinalikan sa labi.

"This tastes more better " nakangiting sabi ko rito.

Napa-ngisi naman ito.

"I have more thirty minutes. I need to attend an important meeting." Sabi nito at agad akong sinunggaban ng halik.

Cain's POV

"The entire group was tracked at Sweden. Fifteen of their group died. " Robert said.

"Our men flew back to Denmark after the fight. We made sure to clean everything before they went there."

I nod as mt answer.

"Good. Let them stay in Denmark. Tell the others to get ready. We don't know when and where they will attack us again." I said.

I stood up in front of them.

"Excuse me, I need to go now." I said.

I went out of the conference room. My body guards escorted me. I want to go home to Ava. I want to see her now.

"Sir."

I went inside the elevator.

"Sir Ms. Greta messaged you that she was on her way to your mansion thirty minutes ago."

"Greta?" I said while arching my brows.

"Fuck." I said with an angry tone.

The elevator opened and I immediately went out.

Ava's POV

I'm so bored. Ang tagal umuwi ni Marquis. Gosh, gugustuhin ko mang tumakas kaso dumami yung body guards niya.

"Mademoiselle, please, you're not welcome here---"

"Not welcome? Fuck haha. Tell Cain to go home now. I'm not leaving until he gets here "
