In which Kim Dahyun tries to understand how the world she lives in works and with a s...
Quick! Think for an excuse! Sana thought. “Nabongs has a new cage! And I designed it. I put string lights around it and stuff.”
And Sana wasn't lying. She did bought a cage for her bunny Nabongs, but it wasn't just her who designed it. Her assistant, Lia helped her out.
Dahyun's face lit up then rocked herself a little. “I would like to see it.”
Sana let Dahyun step inside her place, not minding the fact that she was still wearing her facial mask.
“It's by the living room. You can see it for yourself and uh– I'll be right back.” Sana said as she circled her hand around her face.
When she got Dahyun's approval, she quickly ran to her bathroom.
She faced her mirror then stared at herself for a good two minutes. She looked like shit. She just removed her make up! What was she supposed to do now?
Then Momo's voice rang in her head.
“Sana, you can deadass wear a trash bag with your ugly flip flops and that girl would still be head over heels for you.”
She wasn't sure how the hell she remembered that, but it helped boost her confidence. So she let out a sigh before walking out then changed into much more presentable clothes.
Sana went to the living room then a smile unconsciously appeared on her features when she saw Dahyun, who was sat criss cross with Nabongs on her lap.
“Hey.” she said softly, making Dahyun look up at her.
“What have you been feeding her?”
Sana mirrored the girl's position before answering. “Uh, carrots and lettuce? That's what the internet says.”
Dahyun hummed then gave her attention back to the bunny. “She– she needs a balanced diet of hay, fresh vegetables and fruit, and maybe a few pellets.”
“Well, whatever you say, Doc.” Sana giggled as she leaned closer to the younger girl so she could also pet Nabongs.
Sana got too focused on the bunny that she almost didn't notice that Dahyun was looking at her side profile. But Sana sensed it so she looked up, only to be met with Dahyun's perfect features that was about an inch away from her face. One wrong move and they'll be kissing.
Dahyun got out of the trance quickly as she cleared her throat then tried to put her focus back on the bunny.
But Sana wasn't having any of that.
She stayed still waiting for the raven haired girl to give her the attention she had been craving for. “Dahyunie.”
Dahyun didn't look up since she was feeling a little nervous and shy under the brunette's penetrating gaze. “Yes?”
Sana wanted nothing else but to grab Dahyun's adorable cheeks and kiss her right there, but thank goodness she was able to resist. “How are things with Nancy?”
Dahyun stopped petting the Nabongs as she stared at Sana with an expression that the latter couldn't decipher.
“We broke up.”
What? Did Sana hear that right?
“Huh?”
“I do not like repeating myself.” Dahyun said.
“Right. Uh– why? What happened?” Sana was really curious. Who broke up with who? It would be impossible to be Nancy since the girl seemed to be really obsessed with Dahyun.
Again, she wasn't complaining though. The devil on Sana's shoulder was literally taking over her mind right now. She knew that she should feel bad, since Dahyun was probably hurt. And yes, she did feel bad just a little. Only for Dahyun.
She can literally feel like her insides were dancing all over the place.
“I can't tell you. I still haven't told Nayeon unnie about it yet. She said that if Nancy and I had a problem, she should be the fourth one to know since– since Chaeyoung, Tzuyu and Mina unnie already took the other places before her.”
“Oh. Okay.” Sana nodded before frowning. “You don't seem sad about it though. The break up, I mean.”
“I– I was sad at first. I cried twice. But– but Tzuyu said that I should not waste my tears over someone like Nancy. She– she does not deserve it.”
So Tzuyu wasn't also fond of Nancy?
“That's kind of true.” Sana muttered, before a question popped in her head. “Anyway, enough about the break up. It's ruining the mood.”
“What mood?”
“Nothing.” Sana replied, chuckling a little. “Are you going to be one of Mina's bridesmaids?” she changed the topic.
“No. I'm not going to their wedding since– since you're coming.” the younger girl deadpanned.
Sana froze in her spot.
Well shit.
And when Sana's brain was just about to wonder and over think things, Dahyun suddenly smiled. “That– that was a joke. I was kidding.”
Sana breathed out a loud sigh. Damn. She almost melted into a puddle of sadness. “Wow. That was horrible.” she spoke in amusement, acting like she just had a heart attack.
“I know.”
