The Stars (Yamaguchi x Tsukishima / Yamaguchi x Kageyama) -Haikyu!!-

Chapter 10 - Heights -

At first, Kuroo feared that Yamaguchi might try something to get between their relationship. Now he has a different fear one that is proving to be a fact more and more. As negative thoughts started to nibble at him, Kuroo finally hugged Tsukishima. 

Meanwhile, Kageyama and Yamaguchi decided to go to the restroom to change their clothes. Yamaguchi can't help stare as The King removes his clothes. His perfectly toned muscles and wet porcelain skin were too distracting for him.

"Like what you see?" Kageyama teased the freckled boy who turned into a strawberry before looking away. 

"Shut up!" Yamaguchi stuttered. Kageyama can't help but giggle a little at how cute he looked when he blushed. 

As the two leave, Kageyama saw Hinata giving him a thumbs up. It's time. Kageyama placed a blindfold on Yamaguchi telling him that he has a surprise for him. The freckled boy was scared for a moment, he never did like the dark. Kageyama grabbed Yamaguchi's hand, guiding him to the Ferris wheel. 

The plan was to have Yamaguchi look down when they're high up, so he can see the banner. A plan that Tsukishima suggested. As they stood foot inside the ride, Yamaguchi felt nervous, he felt like the ride was going up, hopefully not too high up. 

As he removed his blindfold, the freckled boy immediately looked around. Panic set on his face as he feels the cart continue to go higher. Sweat began dripping from his forehead. His breathing became fast and erratic. His head starting to spin. For you see, Yamaguchi is afraid of heights.

"Why are we in here!?" Yamaguchi shouted. "Oh my god, bring me down. Please!" He pleaded over and over as tears started to drip from his eyes.

Kageyama didn't expect this to be his reaction. "Look at me, Tadashi!" He grabbed the freckled boy's shoulder, pulling him closer. "Just look at me, okay?" He repeated, trying to calm him down.

"Why aren't they peeping through the cart yet?" Hinata said as their cart reached the highest point. They were holding the banner for Yamaguchi to see. They noticed their cart moving a lot. "Those two better not be doing it there."

"Shoyo!" Kenma looked at his boyfriend with a disappointing look.

"I wonder if everything is alright up there?" Kuroo said, he turned his glance to his boyfriend's face and saw a smile. A smile that says everything was going as he planed. 

Kageyama pressed the freckled boy's face in his chest, gently patting his back. The sound of Kageyama's heart soothed Yamaguchi. He loved the warmth he was feeling right now. His heart was at peace. At that moment he forgot about their distance from the ground and manage to breathe normally. 

Yamaguchi tilted his head up to face Kageyama meeting with his eyes. Their faces turned to a deep shade of red but they didn't look away, their eyes locked on each other. Then, they close the gap between their lips, each of them fighting for dominance. Yamaguchi grabbed the back of Kageyama's head while Kageyama took this chance to explore every inch of Yamaguchi's mouth.

Yamaguchi knew how intense and focused Kageyama can be when they play volleyball but he clearly wasn't expecting him to be so aggressive. When they both broke the kiss, they were gasping for air, panting heavily. 

"That was a yes, okay?" Yamaguchi smiled.

"Yes?" The King tilted his head.

"To be your boyfriend, I mean."

"What!?" Kageyama cried out. "How did you know that!? You didn't even peek outside."

"You know Hinata can't keep a secret to save his life, right?" Yamaguchi giggled. 

Kageyama can't help but smile softly. He gave Yamaguchi a peck on the lips then his forehead. When the cart's door finally opened, Yamaguchi jumped out immediately, hugging the ground like its long lost family relative. 

"We are never doing that again!" Yamaguchi shouted. Kageyama looked down with a sad expression. "Not the kissing idiot! I would very much want to do that again! What I meant is getting in that stupid ride!" Kageyama suddenly regains his smile, knowing he can kiss him again.

Tsukishima, Kenma, and Kuroo were still standing in front of them, holding up the banner. They looked confused, especially Tsukishima. "Thank you, guys!" Kageyama smiled, before hugging his new boyfriend. "He said yes, obviously." 

"Love the banner by the way," Yamaguchi smiled. 

"Finally! Now we can have an orgy!" Hinata said. They all turned their head at the orange-haired boy, with a disgusted face. "That's what you call a 3 pair date right? Or is that a threeso-" Kenma covered his boyfriend's mouth before he can say any more stupid things. 

When the other members of the volleyball team meet up they noticed Kageyama and Yamaguchi holding hands. Everyone didn't say a word, they just smiled at the two waiting for them to speak.

"Oh my God, yes! We're together!" Yamaguchi cried out rolling his eyes. "You guys look like perverts right now, you know!?"

Damn, that's hot. Kageyama thought to himself seeing a shy yet aggressive Yamaguchi. 

Tsukishima clicked his tongue, before grabbing Kuroo's hands, pulling him away. "I'm tired, let's get out of here."

It was getting a little late and the team decided to head home. Overall it was a day well spent for the volleyball idiots. Most of them are just glad Tanaka and Nishinoya didn't get into trouble. Kageyama and Yamaguchi split from them, it turns out Kageyama reserved a place for them to eat dinner. He sacrificed his milk money to afford it. The price was worth it for the King. 

As the two walked together under the stars Yamaguchi suddenly thought of something. "Wait, what were you gonna do if I said no?" 

"Eat alone. Probably cry myself to sleep." Kageyama said with a monotone voice. Yamaguchi knew he shouldn't laugh but the way his boyfriend said it and the look on his face that moment made it impossible. "You know you're laughing at the idea of me being depressed and heartbroken, right?" He raised his eyebrow.

"I'm sorry," Yamaguchi gasped for air."I can't believe you would even think I would say no. I mean, isn't obvious that I liked you?" 

"I don't know," Kageyama blushed, scratching his nose. Yamaguchi wrapped his arms around Kageyama's neck before giving him a passionate kiss. 

The two of them melted in each other's embrace. They slowly pull their lips away, gently pressing their forehead together, their eyes fixed on each other. Somehow, the day felt only like an hour for the new couple. A day that two didn't want to end.
