You bite your bottom lip, anxiously. "Yeah... yeah, I am." You're sure you see a slight glimpse of a smile from him. "I need to go talk to Draco."

"Okay, well we'll help you find him. Won't we, Blaise?" Lux says, beginning to walk back towards the entrance hall.

"No need. I know where he'll be." You walk straight past them, through the kitchen, and out the back door. You look over the large landscape, trying to remember the exact place, but it was harder to spot since it was so dark. But, then, you see a bright white light glowing behind the bushes.

You make your way towards the light, as quietly as you can, you round a corner and find the little archway leading to the area where Draco had proposed to you. You see him sitting on the floor with his head in his hands, his wand was laying on the grass next to him, providing him with some light.

"Draco?" You say, quietly, alerting him of your presence. You see his body stiffen at the sound of your voice, but he doesn't move from his fetal position. "I know you heard... and I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I just didn't want to scare you away, I thought you were falling in love with me again, you know, just starting to put the pieces back together. I know that it's selfish, but I didn't want to ruin it and blow any chance I had with you." You say, rather quickly, trying to finish before he could interrupt you. It left you almost breathless. But he doesn't respond.

"Okay." You say, making your way over to him and sitting on the grass next to him, pulling your knees up and wrapping your legs around them for some warmth. "I can wait as long you need."

You hear the sound of him sniffling, and you realise he's crying. You tenderly touch a piece of his hair that had fallen onto his forehead, pushing it back to fall in line with the rest of his hair. You hear him exhale as he leans into your touch slightly, and you both sit there in silence for what seems like hours.

"Draco?" You realise your voice was croaky, as you clear your throat. "Draco, please talk to me."

"I..." he begins, keeping his head down in between his knees.

"It's okay, Draco, you can trust me. I'm not going to judge you." You run your hands up the back of his neck, intertwining your fingers through the short hair at the nape of his neck.

He finally lifts his head, staring straight ahead. The light from his wand illuminates the redness of his eyes, and the dark circles beneath them.

"I'll never be a good father. I'm destined to end up like my own; a cruel, selfish man. I swore to myself a long time ago that I would never have children. I'd never put anyone through the pain that my father has put me through." You see his face crumple as tears spring to his eyes.

"Draco," you say softly so that he turns to look at you, "don't you see? Breaking the cycling isn't done by not having children."

He furrows his brows at you. "I'm not following." He shakes his head.

"You break the cycle by having them, by being yourself, the good person that I know you are." You place your hand on his cheek, using your thumb to wipe away a tear that had escaped over the brim of his eye and was trailing down his cheek. "Of course you would be a good father, don't you know how caring you are? How thoughtful, and unselfish you are, to those who you love?"

He shakes his head, turning away from you. "That's not me, Bec. I'm not good." He turns his left arm over, looking at his sleeve that was hiding his dark mark. "I'm the villain."

You let out a breath. "Fine, you're the villain. You're the bad guy, the guy that everyone hates. Right?" You pause, as he turns to look at you. "But didn't you know that all villains have their own kryptonite?"

He stares at you, holding your gaze. You can see in his eyes that his iciness is beginning to melt away. He shakes his head, clenching his jaw. "Bec, I-"

"Let me be your kryptonite... let us belong to you." You grab his hand, placing it on your stomach. "You may think that you're the villain of your story, but what you don't realise is that you're the hero of mine."

His eyes stare at your stomach, you watch him closely, hoping you can convince him to let you love him. You see him gulp, then lick his bottom lip.

"Can I?"

"Yes, of course."

He turns, grabbing his wand. He hesitates, as if thinking over the situation in his head. You reach out and grab his shaking hand as he looks up to you and you smile at him. You continue holding his hand, helping him steadily point his wand at your stomach.

"Gravidam Ostende."

You hear the sound of a baby heartbeat, like a horse galloping through the hedges around you. You watch Draco carefully, as his cold expression finally begins to crack. His face relaxes, as he looks to you, astounded.

"Oh my god, Bec." He hurries over to you, his hands cradling your stomach, as he places his head in between his hands. "That's amazing." He pulls away, looking up to you. You place a gentle kiss on his lips. "I'm not sure I'm as good as you say I am, but... I can promise you that I will try. I'll try my hardest everyday to make both of you happy."

"I already know that, Draco. I would never do this if I thought for a second you wouldn't be a brilliant father."

He smiles and kisses you again, before looking down to the grass. "I, um, I have something to tell you, as well."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, I... I don't know how. But, when I came here earlier, I saw it."

"I... I don't know what you mean. Saw what?"

"Bec, I saw it. I saw it in my mind, I saw everything. I saw that Christmas night in the courtyards of the castle, when I gave you your promise ring. I saw the day I proposed to you... I even saw the night we made love and we forgot to use a vial. I saw it all."

"You remember? You remember everything?"

He shrugs his shoulders, smirking slightly. "Yeah. I guess you were right when you said I could never forget our love."

You squeal, throwing your arms around his shoulders and pushing him back onto the grass as you fall on top of him. "Oh my god, I love you so much." You crash your lips against his, running your fingers through his hair. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

He raises his eyebrow at you. "That's funny, I was just thinking the same thing."

You roll your eyes at him, pushing your mouth against his once again.  You grab onto his shirt collar, pushing yourself close against him, trying to merge both your bodies into one. He opens his mouth against yours, as you smell the sweet scent of peppermint envelope you once more.

"Forever & Always?" Draco asks, tucking your hair behind your ear.

"Forever & Always."
