Chapter 10: Neiborhood watch

Lula,Trevor,and Cam sat in the living room and watched a western movie on dvd.

They enjoyed the time they spent at the house and they even put up a calendar.

It had been around 2 months since everything started.

They had visited the hospital once every week.

Samson and Jeff were doing fine as well as the others.

Samson and Lula had mended their friendship but he still didn't let people go out so they could be safe.

More people had shown up to the hospital for help and they got it but they started to run out of food and water.

Lula ,Cam, and Trevor,every week they went to the hospital,and Brought them canned food from nearby markets.

But they were hanging around on this night.

"We are lucky to have dvds. Everyone nowadays stream this stuff."Cam said.

"I did."Lula said.

"I wonder who lived here."Trevor said.

Lula tossed him a picture.

It was a family with 2 little kids.

"I hope they are alright."Cam said peeping at the image.

"Hope is a dangerous thing."Lula said starring at the TV.

Then the credits rolled but Trevor turned it off.
"It's dark now.I'm gonna get to sleep."

"Bye."Cam and Lula said.

Cam watched as Trevor walked upstairs and then turned to Lula.

"I have news for you."Cam said with excitement.

"You two are dating."Lula bluntly interrupted.

"How did-"

"During the movie you guys held hands."

"Ah."

"I'm happy for you guys.Hope it works out."

"Me too.He likes my art."

"That's good."

"Well,I'm gonna go too.Goodnight."Cam said,standing up.

"Wait do you hear that?"Lula asked.

"It's a buzzing sound from outside."Cam said approaching the back door.

"I would recommend getting behind me."Lula said pointing her pistol down at the tile floor.

"Right."

Cam rushed behind Lula and the both of them slowly edged to the door.

Lula opened the door and pointed the pistol at the blood pool.

"Something fell in."Lula said calmly.

"What could it be?"Cam asked.

"A fly maybe or one of those hawks."Lula added.

Ripples started to form in the red water and a shadow emerged from the pool.

Yellow eyes glistened underneath.

There were 8 eyes.

Lula knew what it was right before it emerged.

A spider.

It screeched so loudly that the upstairs window shattered causing glass to fall downwards onto the pool side.

Trevor stuck his head out of the window and looked down.

"I've never seen that type before!"Cam said still cowering behind Lula.

The spider had gotten out of the pool and stArted to approach the duo.

"Can we go inside?"Cam said impatiently.

"Yes."Lula said pushing Cam inside.

Right as the Spider got to the door Lula had locked it.

Trevor rushed downstairs to aid his friends.

He had loaded his shotgun.

"Don't shoot that thing in here!"Lula said.

"I wasn't going to."Trevor said back.

"What do we do?"Cam asked.

"All we can do.Wait it out."Trevor said locking the safety.
