"Do you think it was around his 40s that Dad's heart turned into stone?" Yuta whispered over to Bora.

"I don't know. Could be at 25." Bora replied with a shug. "I did."

"Mmm, I'd say around 15 when you physically fought me for a nerf gun." Yuta kindly reminded her. Bora was always a fighter among their siblings.

"You know I always get what I want, Nakamoto." Bora sent him a smirk, walking out of their Dad's office. Yuta and Johnny share a glance; silently agreeing with the youngest.

Bora being assigned as the temporary COO was effectively immediately. Apparently their father had it arranged as soon as he learned about Taeil's runaway. He really didn't waste any time to put their company in jeopardy.

Bora accidentally entered her old office instead of the COO's office and came across a familiar face. "Jaehyun? What are you doing here?" she asked in surprise.

Jaehyun was sitting on her desk, where a new plaque was sitting with his name on it. His bag was on the couch - that Bora paid thousands for - and some paperworks he brought from Jung Enterprises.

"Oh, hey." Jaehyun looked up from the paper he was reading, shooting up from his seat. He buttoned his coat close as he walked around the desk to greet her. "Nice to see you again."

"Right." Bora scrunched her eyebrows together. She motioned her finger to Jaehyun's stuff. "What, not enough room in the Jung building?"

Jaehyun glanced at where he was pointing at, then back at her. He wheezed out a laugh. "I--Um, yeah since Jung Enterprise hasn't expanded to Busan yet. And partnering with Moon Corp is the start of that." he answered. "But as soon as we finish our building here, I promise you, I'll move out."

"For now, you're just gonna have to get used to seeing this face around."

"Right. Okay." Bora tried her best not to scowl. She's gonna have to work with Jaehyun starting from now on. Which isn't a big deal since Bora's a professional and all that.

"Okay." Jaehyun smiled, flashing his dimples at her. Which wasn't fair at all.

Bora doesn't realize she was staring until her assistant, Mina, came to the door to fetch her. "Ms. Kwon?" she knocked on the door lightly. "Your new office is right this way."

Bora spun around to face her. "Right." she answered. She gave Jaehyun one last glance. "I'll see you around... Mr. Jung."

Jaehyun made a face. "Mr. Jung?" he called after.

Bora doesn't respond to him and just walked out the room, letting Mina lead her to the COO office. To Taeil's office.

Mina opened the door for her as she waltzed in.

Bora took a moment to take in the room. The COO room. Even if it was temporary; it felt amazing. She never thought she'd be in this position. It's fucked up that Taeil had to run away for her to get this but still.

"Alright. Let's get to work." Bora clapped her hands together, taking a seat on the desk. She brushed a hand across the edge, before it found a family picture sitting on the desk. Typical Taeil who was always family-oriented. But unfortunately for his soft kind heart, he had to be in this family.

It's kind of ironic how the only legitimate child didn't want to be a part of them.

In contradiction to her brother, Bora as a boss was much fiercer. Headstrong. She didn't allow any mistakes in her way; and didn't take shit from anyone. The employees were the ones who first handedly experienced the difference of their business style. And if they were being honest, knowing Taeil had a little sister like her, they kind of understood why he ran away.
