Some folks are offended because Tom whose white is leading a tour of the Underground Railroad.
First off, I thought it was common knowledge that whites ( Abolitionist and Quakers were apart of the Underground Railroad. They didn't run it free blacks did, but they were an essential part.) but if you didn't know they are, now you know.

A lot in fact lost their lives, just as they did in the Civil Rights movement for this very cause. In Selma for those who saw it. You see white lost their lives fighting for blacks as well.

Additionally, when I went on tour of a cave which was apart of the Underground Railroad my tour guide was in fact white. I didn't think of it as a joke, I thought of it as simply his job. As he explored caves not just this one dealing with the UR.
Someone suggested Tom as the Brave white man leading them. Umm Aug didn't know what the hell this tour was, Amb set it up. And it is simply Toms job. Nothing more. And if that's your job everyday of course you're not going to be frightened. But anybody going into the unknown is going to be scared as hell.
I am in school for my Masters in African American history and in fact my slavery class was taught by a white professor. Who was pretty damn good, although I thought it was odd at first.

It was in taking that class I realized it is not just black history, but AmericAn history. And all Americans no matter what they look like should know it. Just like we learn white history.

Now I'm not gonna go into a ItsKennedy__ rant she stay dropping knowledge.

But I will post resources for those who want to know more about it.
