AMBER P.O.V.

One of the things about being pregnant is my constant need to pee. Tonight was no different. I looked over at my clock it blinked 1:00 am. I didn't feel like getting up, but my full bladder said otherwise.

I unwrapped myself from August's tight grasp and on impulse, he pulled me back into his body. It was an automatic reaction he did when he felt me move away from him. I don't even think he consciously realized he did it.

I finally unwrapped myself from him and got up to use the bathroom. I stopped when through my open door I heard what seemed to be whimpering.

I looked out at the darkness in the hallway trying to figure out which room it was coming from. I stepped outside my door and realized it was coming from O's room.

I went back in my room, put on my robe and went across the hall.

"O you alright baby." I stood in the doorway.

"I'm okay." He sniffed and I saw him wipe his eyes.

"No you not if you're crying your beautiful eyes out. What's wrong sweetheart?" I sat on the edge of the bed and softly ran my hands over his head.

"I want my mommy. I miss her." He rubbed his nose.

"Aww honey, I'm sorry I haven't taken you. It's been so much going on. Auntie Amb broke her promise, but tomorrow we'll go okay?"

"Okay." He shook his head.

I had thought about it. I hadn't took him to see his mother since he'd moved in.

Things happened so fast. Right after I took Donielle to the clinic, me and Aug had our big fallout. Then my foot was messed up for three weeks.

I had been so engulfed in my drama, never once did I stop to really ask how he was doing.

No matter how much love and care we gave him, he was still a six year old child who had a mother, that he loved very much. And being away from her, probably hurt him, regardless of the complexity of their relationship.

I kissed his forehead and got up. This pee was about to hit the floor. Sorry for the vulgarity but it's the truth.

"Auntie Amb?"

"Yes baby." I stood wiggling my legs trying to hold it in.

"Can you sleep with me? I don't want to sleep by myself tonight."

"Of course my baby. Let me use the bathroom and I'll be back okay."

"Okay."

I practically ran out his room into my bathroom. I did what I had to do, washed my hands and cut out the bathroom light that was shining into the room on Aug.

"What's going on babe?" Aug sat up.

"O is a little bit scared. I'm going to sleep in there with him tonight."

"Aight." He laid back down, turned over and went back to sleep.

I went back to O's room. I got in the bed beside him and he laid on my chest. I wrapped my arms around him.

"Auntie Amb?"

"Yes baby?"

"Since it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, can we get my mother a gift? I want to be her Valentine."

"Of course sweetie. We'll get up and go to the store to get her a nice gift, then we'll go see her."

"I'm so happy." I could feel him smile against my chest.

"It was never my intent to let you go this long without seeing her O. I'm so sorry to disappoint you like that."

"It's not your fault Auntie Amb. I know your foot was hurt. I just had a dream about her and missed her."

"A dream?"

"Mm-hm. I was grown up and I was able to buy her house so she wouldn't have to sleep in her car."

"Oh baby, I don't think that was a dream. I think that's going to reality happen as smart as you are. "

"Sata was in it too."

"Was she now?"

"Mm-hm. " He popped his head up and laid on the pillow beside me looking at my face in the darkness. I turned to him giving him my full attention.

"She got upset because she said I didn't buy her a house. So I just bought two houses. One for her. And one for my mother."

"You had money like that?"

"Mm-hm. Can we buy Sata a gift too? I'm going to have to two Valentines."

"I don't know if Sata deserves a gift with her little attitude."

"But she's my girlfriend. You have to buy your girlfriend a gift for Valentines Day Auntie Amb."

"Your girlfriend?"

"Yeah. You know that."

"You too young for a girlfriend."

"Unh-unh." He laughed. "You can have a girlfriend at any age."

"Uh I don't think so."

"Uh...I think so." He mocked me.

"Boy." I softly hit him upside he head.

He laughed, then yawned. He was relaxed to the point where he was sleepy.

"I love you Auntie Amb."

"Love you to0 O." I kissed his cheek goodnight.

And we went to sleep.
