Amb POV--

"Mommy you ate the baby?" Auggie looked confused at the monitor during my ultra sound.

Aug, me and the doctor laughed at his innocence.

"No Auggie." I told him.

"How it get in there den? I thought the birdie give you da babies."

"No. The birdie puts them in my tummy."

"How?"

"While I'm sleep. He just blows on my tummy and oop the baby goes."

"Alright this is the arm." The doctor pointed to the baby arms on the monitor.

I was five months pregnant now and today we found out what we were having.

"The arm moving mommy!" Auggie clapped excited. "Hey baby!" He waved at the screen.

"This is the head." The doctor pointed to the head.

"Damn thats a head big." Big Aug said looking at the monitor.

"Shut up. Nobodies head is bigger than yours." I side eyed Aug for trying to go in on my new baby.

"And it seems you're having a...let's see." The doctor carefully examined the monitor.

"Looks like uh...boy."

"Yay!!!!" Auggie jumped up and down.

"Sylvester it is." I looked at Big Aug with eyes of victory.

I was naming my son after my father I didn't care. This baby was a miracle and I wanted the name to signify something special.

"Not happening." Aug said.

"Sorry about your girl." The doctor looked at Aug with a smirk.

"It's fine we got a daughter and trust me she is enough girl to last us a lifetime." I said.

"Lively huh?"

"Yes. And she's only six so, this is only the beginning."

"I know how that goes. Well we're all done here. You can put on your clothes and just make another appointment to see me in about two weeks."

"Okay great."

The doc left out. I got dressed. We all got our things and got ready to go.

----
"So we having a boy." Aug grinned and got in bad next to me.

"Finally something I want."

"What you mean finally something you want?"

"Because you always get what you want and it's nice to know God answers my prayers to."

"That's all well and good but what prayer he is not gon answer is naming my son Sylvester."

"That's my daddies name babe. I want to do something in his memory."

"Did he have a middle name?"

"Yeah."

"What?"

"Otis."

"Oh hell naw. Sylvester Otis Riley was his name? That is an old man's name if I ever heard of one. Niggas is gon bully him."

"He'll be strong enough to handle it, because I'm going to tell him where the name came from. And the great man he was named after. Melvin is an old name too if you think about it."

"Sylvester Otis Alsina." August shook his head.

"It is not that bad."

"It is. What about Riley? That way he have your father's last name?"

"Isn't Riley generally a girl's name?"

"It sound unisex to me." Aug said.

"Nah I think girl's are generally named that."

"Well what's another A name and that can be the middle? All of us got A's and it would be weird to break that."

"You just don't want him to be named Sylvester."

"No I'm saying you got Amber, Assata, August, August III and Sylvester Odey- O Alsina."

I laughed so hard. "Odey-O?"

"That would be his nickname."

"No it wouldn't. And I don't know I have to think of A names. But he must, must, must have Sylvester."

Aug rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"Don't do my daddy."

"I have no problem with your daddy's name. It worked for his generation. I just don't want people picking on my baby boy because he sounds like he should be in a 1950s doo wop group."

"You are being so over dramatic. But I will think of an A name to continue the tradition but his middle name must be Sylvester."

"You know Chad called me?" Aug suddenly changed the subject.

"He did?" A gallon of butterflies were released in my stomach.

"He said he had misplaced your cellphone number. I didn't know you had a meeting out in Marietta. "

"Yeah. It was for the black women's lawyers association."

"Oh ok. Cause I asked him why would he need if you were in the office and that's when he told me you had a meeting. Said he needed to know where some files or something were so I gave it to him."

"Yeah he called me. We worked it out."

"You don't talk to me too much about work. Omari been taking it easy on you?"

"Yeah. Everything is fine."

"You sure."

"Mm-hm." I smiled and kissed his lips.

"You know I was thinking. You know I'm buying the commercial building by my office."

"Mm-hm."

"I was thinking about expanding the office but then I thought what if I just gave it to you."

"For what?" I chuckled.

"Open your own law practice. One building will be my practice, the other your law office. One stop shop. The Alsina's. Get your teeth right. Then go over to my baby and get your legal stuff right."

"That sounds cute."

"I'm fareal. I could even have a nursery built, for the new baby there. That way you can work and have the baby there."

"Umm it's a sweet idea babe. But being a solo practitioner isn't easy. I'll have to hire a staff. Etc."

"You don't have to decide now. Just throwing it out there. I'm just really focused on building generational wealth for our kids ya know? Leave them something. Teach them entrepreneurship. If Sata go to law school hey, she can have your office. Auggie go to Dental school. He run mine ya know. Sylvester can doo-wop on the corner."

"If you don't leave my baby alone."

He laughed.

"Just think about it."

"I will."

We turned off the light and went to sleep.
