Melisa's POV

Melissa was walking around, gazing around to absorb every bit of beauty she could. She wasn't looking where she was going until a certain platinum hair blonde boy ran into her; they both collided and fell to the floor. "Hey! Watch where you're going you filthy little mudblood" was all he said. Melissa was shocked at the young boys tone and choice of words. She was outraged! "I have you know, i am a halfblood! And you're the one who ran into me. You should watch where you're going." The boy was surprised at her tone, no girl had ever spoken back to him before. He opened out to say something but she butted in "save it. I don't want to hear your voice any longer than i have to." Just then, a raven head boy with circle framed glasses came by. He looked from the girl to the boy and held out his hand for the girl so she could stand up. She smiled at his kind gesture and took his hand. "Thank you." The raven boy just smiled at her, it looked like they were having a moment before the platinum hair boy interrupted. The platinum hair boy cleared his throat and looked at the boy with raven hair. "What? No hand to help me? How rude." The raven hair boy just chuckled and held his hand to help the blonde boy who's name seemed to be draco malfoy. However, Draco just slapped his hand away and stood up for himself. "You ruined my robes. They are brand new!" He pointed at the girl. "Sorry but i don't want to hear about your rich boy problems." The raven hair boy laughed at Melissa's witty comeback. A half giant called Hagrid interrupted them "blimey! You're Melissa snape. Professor snape's daughter. I can see the similarities." Melissa nodded and smiled at Hagrid. Before Melissa could say anything Draco decided to say something "You're Professor Snape's daughter?!" He acted shocked and then smirked because he immediately thought that he and her would be sorted into the same house by the sorting hat in hogwarts. Draco's dad has informed draco about the houses. He told draco that he must be sorted into slytherin or there was no telling of what his father might do.. He thought because of severus snape being her dad, she would have to have to be in slytherin. Her attitude seemed to be good enough to be in slytherin. The raven haired boy and Melissa walked off and left draco stranded. "I can't believe you said that." The raven boy said. "Well someone had to stand up to him." Melissa laughed; the raven boy laughed along with her and realised that he had not yet introduced himself. "I'm Harry by the way, Harry Potter." Melissa was utterly in shock. She just met the Harry Potter. It clearly showed by the look on her face, Harry was still shocked at the fact he was famous in the Wizarding world. "I guess you get a lot of people shocked to meet you at first." Melissa admitted. Melissa felt sorry for him.. He had never received sympathy before, Melissa was different; there was something about her, something so special that he couldn't comprehend.

Harry told her that he needed to go to the bank to get some money and Melissa told him that she would be meeting her dad right about now so they parted ways. Melissa went off to find her father, she searched through the crowed and then finally found him. "Dad! Guess who I met! Harry Potter! The Harry Potter. He's coming to hogwarts! Maybe we will be sorted into the same house!" Severus just frowned at the name Potter because he had a past with James Potter. Let's just say it was not a very pleasant. However he didn't want to spoil Melissa's joyful mood so he decided to keep quiet. "That's amazing darling! Also about hogwarts houses, just because I am a the head of slytherin house and I was a slytherin at your age, doesn't mean that you have to be one. I don't want you to feel pressured. Okay sweetie? I will be happy with whatever house you end up in. Whether it's ravenclaw, gryffindor, slytherin or hufflepuff. I will be proud of you!" Melissa smiled "thank you dad, it means a lot!" Severus hugged and suggested that they should get her school textbooks. She nodded and they walked down the street together. Nobody had ever saw profesor snape being this loving so they were genuinely surprised on how affectionate he was towards his daughter. Severus always thought that she was the miracle that he never deserved; she was the only source of happiness for him. That's why hated to see her upset or in danger.. he dreaded the day where she knew what happened to her mother. They went to many shops together and spent some quality time together.

After 30 minutes of shopping Severus told Melissa to go to Ollivander's wand shop to get her wand. She did as she was told. As soon as she stepped foot into Ollivander's wand shop, Ollivander knew who she was. "Ah Melissa snape! It's a pleasure to finally meet you! You have some of your father's features." Melissa smiled "it's a pleasure to meet you too sir and having some of his features? I am not sure that's a good thing." Straight away Ollivander looked for wand that was right for the young girl. The first wand she tried sent papers flying all across the shop; the second one broke the vase on the table; the third sent a part of the window to crack but before she tried the forth wand Ollivander explained to her that the wand had a dragon heart and the last owner of that particular wand was Melissa's grandmother. Melissa didn't think much of it as she knew that the snape family was very powerful. She had finally found the wand she was looking for. Melissa immediately thought that it was her fathers mothers wand. She was then excited to try it and true enough, a breeze was sent, the wand was glowing. After all, the wand chooses the witch. Melissa felt like she had a family air-loon which she never had before. The wand was beautiful and elegant. When she was just about to pay, harry walked into the shop. Clearly not looking where he was going because he was staring at a paper which seemed to be a list of items he had to get. Harry had not even noticed that you were standing about 3 inches away from him, he looked up after staring at his paper for what seemed to be forever and realised the people surrounding him.. "oh.. sorry to interrupt.. I can wait outside." However, Ollivander was quick to reply "not to worry Mr Potter, Miss Snape is just finishing up." Melissa paid Ollivander for the wand; she was just about to leave the shop when Harry gently pulled her back by her wrist. "Please... stay.. it will be nice to have a friend keeping me company." Melissa was over the moon, the Harry Potter told her that they were friends. Of course she didn't care much at all that he was famous, she was surprised on how he was so nice and how she kept bumping into him. It was as if destiny wanted them together. "You? And I? Friends? Wow. Yes of course we are friends" Melissa exchanged smiles with him and looked into his green eyes. She could stare into them for ages, the were breath taking; they had a sense of softness within them and it just intrigued her.. she just had to know more about him. Therefore she stood there for him, Ollivander gave him a wand to try at first and harry took it, he was so oblivious but in a cute way. Ollivander said "give it a wave." Harry just stood there in shock so to snap him out of it i had to step in and say something. "What are you waiting for?" He glanced my way and chuckled, he then waved the wand and a load of boxes flew out of their places. This was not the wand for harry, the second wand and he flicked it, he broke the last vase that was there. Harry was frightened of what he just managed to do.. his mind must be full of many thoughts and emotions so I slightly patted him on the shoulder to release tension. He smiled at me so I thought it would be best if I encouraged him. "Don't worry, it took me a lot of tries to find the right wand harry, you will find the right one for you." Harry nodded and muttered a simple thank you which made my cheeks heat up.. but i am not sure why.  Harry tried many wands but the third one was the right one. Then suddenly Ollivander was informing harry about the wand, he told us "I remember every wand that I have ever sold Mr Potter. It so happens that the phoenix who's tale feather resides in your wand gave another feather, just one other. It is curious that you should be destined for this wand, when it's brother gave you that scar." Harry was still in shock, "and who owned that wand." He just looked dumbfounded. Ollivander replied harry with "we do not speak his name, the wand chooses the wizard Mr Potter. It's not always clear why, but I think it is clear that we can expect great things from you, after all, he who must not be named did great things, terrible but great." I guess harry didn't know as much about he who must not be named that makes two of us because my father never told me much. With that, Hagrid interrupted with a pet owl for harry. Oh it was stunning, it was white, just like snow with brown eyes. It had a sharp beak and i have never seen anything like it. Hagrid said that it was for Harry's birthday present. As we walked out the shop harry asked me if I wanted to carry on with him but before I could answer my father came. He had bought me an owl. She was beautiful, she was black, with ocean blue eyes and unique feathers. I decided that I would call him shadow. Harry smiled at my father and I. "Sorry harry, i have to go.. but I will see you when we arrive at hogwarts and we can spend some time together then." Harry nodded and let melissa go, when she left he felt a strange feeling, like he missed her and couldn't wait to see her again. He watched her walk away laughing at what her father was saying. The way she moved, harry could watch her all day..
