Chapter Eight

Harper's POV

"Harper~"

Napakunot ang noo ko sa tumawa ng pangalan ko. It's voice is from a women.

"Harper~" I seek for its voice but everything was filled with darkness. Nothing but caliginous. Even I couldn't see myself

Where am I?

"The question should be Who are you, harper" the voice said. Even its voice is demurring. I tried to speak but I was left with no words it was like my mouth was zipped to prevent me from speaking

"Speak if you know who you are. Speak, if you know what power lies within you" may pagbabanta ang boses niya

What does she mean? I know myself. I completely know myself. And what does she mean power that lies within me?

There is no such power that lies in me. Power wasn't given to me. I don't have any powers that lie in me. I want to laugh of what the voice said

The voice seemed to disappear because I didnt hear its voice anymore...or so I thought.

"Harper"

I heard my mother's voice.

"Harper" she called again

"Mom!" I screamed for her name. Seryoso ang tunog ng boses niya

"Remember what I warned you!"

"Remember~"

I was woken up because of a loud noise coming from the kitchen. I took a peek through my window, the sun's starting to rise. I took a glimpse of myself in the mirror before going out to check what happened

I saw Jerra holding a stainless bowl. She greeted me with a smile

"Good morning. Ang aga mo ah? Im still cooking breakfast" aniya

"I heard a loud noise coming from here" I replied.

"Sorry ah? My bad! I didn't mean to wake you up!!" She winced

"Its okey" tinawanan ko siya

"Gusto ko ding gumising nang umaga so it's fine. Dont worry" I assured her. She took a deep breath before smiling at me. She turned her back at me and started cooking. Tinitigan ko naman lahat ng kilos niya
 
In my conception, she is good with cooking. Her skills are fast. Napansin niya ako nakatitig sakanya kaya napatigil siya

"Uhh Harper? Can you wake Leila up?" She asked. My brows shoot up. Nagdalawang isip ako kung gagawin ko ba ang sinabi niya

"Harper?" Tawag niya ng pansin ko. Nag angat ako ng tingin sakanya bago tumango

"Just knock and go inside" she smiled at me. Wala na ako nagawa kundi ang tumango at iwan siya saka nagpunta sa kwarto ni Leila

Kumatok muna ako bago pihitin ang doorknob. The whole room was dark when I entered. Tatalikod na sana ako at aakmang aalis na nang biglang sumara ang pintuan.

The room that was covered with darkness is now filled with light. Naiwan akong nakatayo sa may pintuan habang pinagmamasdan ang mala library na kwarto ni Leila

Sobrang lawak ng kwarto niya. It wasn't a room, it was a library! Puno ito ng naglalakihang mga book shelves! Her floor is made out of marble at sa itaas naman nakapalibot ang mezzanine.

Her ceiling is even made out of glass showing the nonchalant skies. The sun hasn't rise yet kaya kitang kita ko pa ang mga bituin. Napapalibutan din ang loub nang naglalakihang mga bintana ngunit halos sila ay natatakpan ng kurtina
