Part 13

Katelynn's POV

I ran up the marble staircase, my charcoal black wings dragging behind me. The smooth stone under my feet felt like silk as I ran to a empty room at the end of the top floor. I opened the door and slammed it behind me before locking it and sliding down to the hard wooden floor. I'm becoming weaker, like a human. My eyes filling with salty tears before slipping out of my eyes. It's been a while since I had been a human but then again, I've only ever been human once.

As I cried until I had no more tears, I heard footsteps outside my door. I put my ear up against the door, my weak powers still working. I could see four figures, three male and one female. "Where could she be?" Louis asked. "I'm not sure, there are thousands of rooms in this castle. I'll have to use my super hearing to listen for her." a voice I assumed was Alice's.

My breathing hitched as I heard her footsteps coming closer to my door. I looked around for an escape when I found a patio. I got up and swiftly ran to the patio, ripping open the doors and stepping out into the cool night air.

The bedroom door snapped open, revealing a concerned looking Alice, Louis, and two other boys I didn't recognize. I stretched out my wings and flew to the roof, ignoring Louis and Alice yelling my name.

Being alone on the roof is the most peaceful thing in this human planet. The moon overhead makes it calm and peaceful. "Rough day, huh?" an Irish accent said behind me. I jumped up in fear, getting ready to take off until the boy grabbed my wrist.

"I won't hurt ya, just don't go?" he said in more of a question.

I had to admit, he was handsome too. Not quite as Louis, but I sensed a calming influence coming from him. I sat down on the roof next to him.

"Running away from your problems won't solve anything, ya know that right?" the boy said. As if reading my mind.

he said. "My name is Niall, I'm one of Louis' friends."

I couldn't help but feel open to him, like I've known him for years. After about an hour or so of talking, a very angry, jealous looking Louis came out.

"Niall, why didn't you bring her back when you found her?!" he shouted. I couldn't help but feel defensive of him as I stood up and said.

"Louis, calm down. We were just chatting, weren't we Niall?" I said gesturing towards the Irish man. He nodded and walked towards Louis.

I couldn't explain the look he gave me as I said those words. Anger, jealousy, hurt, and many more I couldn't describe flashed across his face. I walked past both of them and headed inside. Alice ran towards me as soon as I came into sight.

"I was so worried about you!" she said throwing her arms around me.

I chuckled lightly and said, "I'm fine now"

I looked over her shoulder to see a messy haired boy standing awkwardly. "Who's this?" I asked pulling away from Alice. She turned a shade of pink as she explained who he was. "This is Harry Styles, he is friends with Louis and Niall, they are in a band together."

"Hello Harold, I'm Katelynn. But you can call me Kate." I said slowly. I sensed he wasn't human, he must be a vampire. I caught him staring at my black wings before he said, "Your wings, they are black. Can I ask why?" I felt a lump in my throat as he said that. I answered carefully, "I'm... I'm a fallen angel. I, uh, had my heart broken so I was sent here as a rehab. I have to find true love or I will be forced here forever." I say, a salty tear slipping down my face.

He looked as if he regretted asking me that but I just shrugged it off. As if on cue, Louis came into the room. He froze as he saw the tears on my face. "Don't cry hun, I'm right here. Shh" he cooed embracing me in a hug as I wrapped my wings around us.

I heard gasps behind me as my wings started glowing. "Kate, your wings!" Harry exclaimed. My wings were turning a dull gray. "It's working!" I muttered. "What was that?" Louis asked. Quick Kate make up something. "I was happy so my wings were responding to my emotions." I said.

Suddenly, the door busted open and a werewolf came in. I jumped behind Louis and he embraced me as I did. "Your highness, there is a girl outside who wishes to speak with you." his deep voice said. Alice sighed quietly and said, "Very well, Kate and Louis, you stay here. Kate this is your room and Louis is across the hall but stay here for now," She says do the wave with her eyebrows. "Harry and Niall you out come with me. If Anyone comes in here Louis, just tell them where I am." we nodded in unison, as Harry and Niall left with Alice, Niall giving me a quick glance before shutting the door behind him.

Then I realized I was alone with Louis...

Ok so this part is written by my friends katelynn so you guys should follow her and this is going to be the last part in her pov for a bit. I just want to do more pov for Alice because the story is about her 💗 <3
