|nora's pov|

The only thing I felt was a pinch, and it triggered something in my head. It was like my little subconscious voice was echoing in my ear:

'Wake up, Wake up, Wake up!'

So I did. I sat all the way up, taking a deep breath of air. I jumped, when I saw somebody else jump next to me.

"What happened." I asked, rubbing my sore temple. I mean, I knew what happened, but I was talking about after the vervain.

"You we're just overloaded with magic, which was an easy fix. You're still a lot more powerful than you used to be, but for what it was worth.." She said, shrugging her shoulders. "It's an advantage that his witches are powerless, no doubt he'll retaliate." I looked around, and realized that I was on the floor, and their we're things drawn in white chalk around me.

"What is this, like the second time you saved my life?" I asked her examining them, and she sucked her teeth.

"I guess it's 1 to 2." She smirked turning her lip upwards, and I smiled. My eyes darted around the room, and stopped when I saw Rebekah, standing against the wall. I stood up, and walked over to her with open arms.

"Nora, I'm so sorry, It was a stupid idea, and I-"

"Rebekah, I'm fine, it's fine. It was my idea to take their magic anyways, and It might've been for the greater good." I said looking into her eyes, and she nodded. I couldn't get over these people, and their crystal blue eyes. We walked out into the foyer, and I saw Elijah sitting on the love seat. When he noticed me and Rebakah's presence, he immediately stood up . His warm smile was inviting enough to make we want to give him a hug, but I didn't.

"How does the lovely Nora feel?" I smiled at him, before sitting down on one of the couches.

"Surprisingly, I feel fine." I said tilting me head at him, and I watched Rebekah walk back upstairs, and looked back at Elijah. "Where's Klaus?" I watched him smile, before he quickly tried to hide it.

"Niklaus assumed that you would be a bit more parched when you awoke." My mouth formed an O shape, and I slowly nodded my head as I realized what he meant. Then I smiled. it was such a Klaus-like thing to do, that I couldn't help but let my smile grow. Elijah walked past the coffee table, and sat down next to me on the couch.

"I wanted to Thank you." His voice was smooth like butter, and he had all of my attention.

"For?"

"Helping my family, for everything you have done. Ranging from to battles, to helping us with meetings, to helping Niklaus.."

"Elijah, I-" I came to an abrupt stop, when I heard that he wasn't done talking.

"Your actions are not unnoticed, and I deeply appreciate them."

I looked at my hands in my lap, trying to muster up the courage to open up.

"Elijah, I don't have a family anymore. So helping you guys-" I was caught off guard, when I felt him hug me. I hugged him back on instinct.

Elijah could never be the brother that I had, nobody could amount to Peter. Even thinking about comparing him to somebody else didn't even sit right with me. But I knew what he meant, and I enjoyed the feeling.

"You are family." I couldn't help but get emotional, I haven't even said the word family since the incident. I felt his grip around my torso loosen, and I moved my arms to wipe away some stray tears. I let out a shaky breath before I looked up at him, but I saw that his eyes we're fixated on something behind me. I whipped my head around, and was instantly caught in eye contact with another pair of blue eyes. I turned all the way around, and I was inches away from him in a second.
