22~ Birthday Wishes Pt. 1

Jason's POV

I slowly opened my eyes to a warm, pleasant smell that was slowly snaking through my room.

I yawned lightly, spreading my arms and looking around the room.

Percy was standing in the doorway, a tray laden with all things sweet resting on his two hands.

I blinked, making sure that what I was seeing was real.

"Perce?" I asked, perplexed.

He smiled

"What're you doing here? With that?" I motioned towards his tray as I spoke.

He shrugged, walking in the room "I mean, I thought that would have been obvious"

I smiled "You didn't have to do all this"

"Hey!" Percy protested "It's not everyday that you turn twenty three"

I rolled my eyes but motioned for him to come over.

Percy grinned and bounded over, carefully laying the tray on my lap.

"Why thank you kind sir" I said, pulling his lips to mine.

"No problemo" he whispered, pulling away from the kiss and sitting next to me on the bed.

"So, what are we getting up to today?" I asked, carefully shovelling an apple pastry into my mouth.

Percy grinned "Suprise"

I rolled my eyes but chose to say nothing.

"You finished yet Superman?"

I looked at Percy "You kidding? My plate is still overflowing with food"

He shrugged "Well hurry up then"

"This had better be worth it" I muttured under my breath.

"Perce," I asked

"Hmm?"

"Why have you brought me to the roof?"

He grinned, saying nothing but pointing towards the centre of the roof.

I furrowed my eyebrows and moved towards it.

A small piece of lilac card was folded up, sealed with a stamped piece of blue wax.

I raised my eyebrows, turning to percy impressed.

"You did this?"

He shrugged but a small smile was playing on his lips.

"Open it" he whispered, after I had stood just staring.

I chuckled and finally opened it, reading the few lines of gold ink.

I looked at Percy "This is very sweet"

He smiled bashfully.

"The rhyme is especially exquisite" I said, smiling

"Oh, shove off" he said, nudging me with his shoulder.

I smiled as I turned my head back to the note.
