8~ Blinded

Percy's POV

I collapsed, sliding down the wall next to Jason's room as they attempted to resuscitate him.

I could feel the tears start to come, pouring down my face as I gasped for breath.

My sobs echoed down the corridor.

He's gone, he's really gone.

I cried harder, not ashamed about anyone seeing me.

Why?
My cries of pain echoed the corridor as I curled into a ball as small as possible.

Jason is gone

I'll never see him again

I felt the sobs rack my body as I struggled for breath.

I could feel myself gasping for air.

Oh shit no.

I tried to hold it off but it washed over me, drowning me.

Fucking panic attack

I struggled for breath, tears streamed down my cheek.

"Percy"

I couldn't look up, too scared to notice Nico's voice.

I felt two pairs of arms wrap around me, steadying me.

They made me feel safe, if only temporarily.

"Percy you need to breathe"

"and out"

I couldn't concentrate.

Thoughts about Jason flooded my mind, memories.

'Jason, I'm gay'

He blinked, looking even more confused. He stood there for a couple of seconds, silent.

'Jason say something' I begged

He stared at me and cracked a smile.

'Sorry, I was just confused for a second'

'What do you mean?' my brows furrowed together

'I mean I was already ninety-nine per cent sure you were'

'Sorry?'

'stOP Jason! '

'Save the turtles! And I oop-'

'I will skskshove you off this roof. '

And we danced

The soft lilt in the background drew me into a daze, my eyes getting lost in the curves of his face.

I studied him closely, my eyes catching on all the imperfections. The smile crinkles surrounding his sympathetic eyes, the faint freckles adorning his face like flecks of gold carefully painted by the gods.

And his scar

The scar marring his upper lip, glowing ethereally in the night sky.

Each one of these imperfections only made him more perfect, more complete.
