A/N

Yeee it finally let me access my chapter. Warning: I have like 5 pre-written chapters so imma try and write as fast as possible but we may reach a point where there are none left so updates will take longer. But, for now, they'll stay at every 3 days :).

Sorry and hope you enjoy the chapter.

Percy's POV

"Mr Jackson?"

I looked up, my wet face finally emerging from Nico's warm chest.

I saw the grim look on the doctor's face and could feel my heart cracking some more.

I sniffled lightly and stood up, my legs wobbling beneath me.

"Y-yes?"

"I am here to inform you that your fiance, Mr Grace.."

I felt myself falling into an abyss as he spoke, the realisation falling on me what a life without Jason would mean.

No more walks in the park.

My hand would forever be empty, no one to hold it.

I'd never walk down the Isle.

No kids.

No future.

And this scared me.

I never knew just how much I loved Jason until I had lost him.

I should've been more appreciative.

I should have spent more time with him.

I tuned back into his speech just as the doctor finished his sentence.

"... Is alive"

I blinked, my legs buckling underneath me.

I felt two strong arms holding me up and I turned around, silently thanking both Will and Nico.

"He's- He's alive?"

The doctor nodded to me, a weak smile on his face.

I was so joyous I barely noticed the sombre look in his eyes, the deep sadness inside them.

I turned to Will and Nico, wrapping them in a deep hug.

"He's OK, he'll be ok"

I buried my face in their shoulders as they wrapped their arms around me.

"Thank you guys" I whispered

They smiled at me "No need"

"Wait, Mr Jackson"

I frowned, turning round to the doctor.

"What's wrong?"

"Well-" he began

"Tell me, please" I begged, an uneasy feeling rising from my stomach

"He's blind"

I blinked  "Like blind as in blind blind or blind as in lost his eyes blind?"

The doctor chuckled in light amusement "Blind as in blind blind"

I gasped, bringing my hands to my mouth.

"It's only temporary, a side effect I guess you could call it, he was dead after all"

He used quotation marks with his fingers as he said 'dead'.

I nodded "How long for?"

"It's impossible to say. Due to lack of oxygen entering his body some nerves were damaged, these are the ones that control his sight"
