As Grada was led out of the throne room by the Chamberlain, no one noticed the wisp of a teal cape near an open window. A soft rustling was heard and the quick patter of leathered boots made their way out of the throne room and down the halls, following the tall shadow of the king.

Kala hadn’t seen Cyndal for a few days and suspected something was wrong. She needed to find out what was going on and see if she could be of any help to Master Dominic. Perhaps, in this war, she could prove to her brother, Cyndal and even Master Dominic that she was not a child anymore. That she could be of use to Ithan. Filled with hope and the excitement of adventure, she made her way to the hidden hallway that led to the King’s Counsel room. She had gotten in trouble for eavesdropping before but that was different. It didn’t include Cyndal and Cyndal was like family so this time it was different. Or at least she kept telling herself that.
