"Don't call me baby again.", a woman threw a bouquet against a man's chest.
"Arrogant son of a bitch.", she muttered under her breath and kicked him out of the house they used to share.

"I was trying to be nice! And don't you ever talk about my mum like that!", he yelled back at her as she suddenly shut the door on his face.
The man angrily huffed and walked away after he threw the bouquet of flowers away.

Harry still found something nice about the angry married couple. Their daughter was the first thing he adored. They met in the little kindergarten by the beach. Both babies that waited for someone to love them.
His smile didn't falter when someone chose her over him and their friendship had to come to an end.

Harry hadn't seen her in years. Maybe because of all the resting fish faces around or because she just escaped Eroda.
He remembered a few things from his childhood; the rest was a blur, because of the sadness that started to develop.
Despite the bad times in his life, Harry learned to cherish all the moments in which happiness didn't feel like something to feel guilty for.

"Go grab the bread, Harry."
"Yes, Mary.", Harry sighed at the tone in her voice and grabbed the little bag hanging by the door.
"Don't forget the helmet.", the boy nodded and grabbed the diving helmet from his room.
As he wanted to say goodbye, Mary's bedroom door loudly shut, making Harry look away.

Before he walked away, he put the helmet, covering his face from everyone.
Yet that somehow didn't help Harry at all, because the glares only intensified and the feeling burning inside him made his body ache.

His feet carried him to Eroda's bakery. He silently asked for some bread, handed the money and got out again.
His feet carrying his body again, no energy left in his body as the only thing he wanted to do was lay on his bed and disappear.
His hand pushed Mary's door open and slowly let the bag fall on the table.

He walked back to his room and shut the door.
With a deep sigh, Harry took off the thing that kept him from being himself, his smile now gone.
Mary was asleep and Harry was sad and wide awake.

His mind racing from one thought to the other. His eyes eyed the blue coat by the door and before he could think twice, he put it on and ran away.

Eroda's sea wasn't the calmest. Sure, if you were lucky enough, you could enjoy a day at the beach. And if you weren't lucky - well nobody survived to tell.

Harry's knees were covered by the dark water, heavy rocks in his pockets and an indescribable look on his face.
Sadness wasn't what he felt or anger or anything specific.
His eyes looked at the point where the sea met the sky and then looked back down, somewhat intrigued by the sea's depth.
The boy's feet carried him further until even his thighs were covered by the water.

"Harry?", a voice called and Harry turned around confusedly.
A young woman with a heavy coat and heavy rocks in its pockets. The more steps she took, the further her body was covered by the water.

Apparently, Eroda was having a lucky day, because the water was calm.

"Who are you?", were the words Harry chose to say.
Her body slowly walked towards his and that's when he found some familiarity in her eyes.

The boy kept looking at her, forgetting that he asked her a question, while she stood there looking at him as if the answer was readable.

"What are you doing here?"
"The same as you.", he simply responded and looked away again.
"You haven't smiled in a while.", she continued and Harry simply looked down.
"Olivia...", he said slowly.

A sudden wave pushed her away from him.
"Olivia.", the girl said firmly and looked at him. Harry felt the heavy stare from her and slowly tilted his head to look at her, as if he was thinking about his next action.

"Let's get away from here.", the boy said slowly, yet as he took one step towards her, another wave pushed her away again.

Olivia let a small laugh escape from her throat.
"Maybe it's not meant to happen."

"What we were about to do was not meant to happen.", Harry said and hid his hands in his pocket. His eyes boring in hers as his hands took each rock and threw it back in the water.

"We can't let people define us. Not anymore."
