the bad girl's good boy part 2

_____________

In a classic chapter, Harry would have given in after the first day of chase by Olivia or Olivia would have probably told him something like: "Yeah, you were never really special.", or - with eyes full of anger - ,"You are mine and mine only."

This, however, was not the case.
Olivia let him alone. She knew how important it was to Harry to have his own space to think.
People kept looking at her and then at the bruises she left on Heidi's neck. They started to think that she was the real enemy after all.

Harry was alone and not only because Olivia respected his decision, but because his heart didn't feel full anymore. His unique smile disappeared and his eyes were empty - their light disappeared. He felt miserable, vulnerable and sad.

It's all my fault.
I shouldn't have associated myself with her.
It's all my fault.
It's all my fault.

At school, he stopped raising his hand - not because he didn't know, hut because he didn't feel. His confidence was wiped away as quickly as it had arrived.
His eyes didn't meet anyones, even when he felt hers on him.

"Don't forget to study Mr. Lorna.", were the words Harry last heard before be exited the classroom. His heavy rucksack carried by his shoulder as he walked towards his locker. His fingers quickly found the right key and used it to open the metallic door.

"You had to see her, Sandy. That bitch tried to choke me, especially after I begged her to stop. She's crazy, Sandy.", Harry heard Heidi laugh as he mechanically grabbed the books he needed and left the ones he had already used.

"I talked to my mum about it."
"Really? What did she say?"

"Well, we're planning on reporting her to the police. There's no way that someone touches me and gets away with it. My mum's friend works at the police station and he said that the chances of her getting in jail are high."

Harry froze at her words yet still faked to be occupied by his task.
Olivia in jail.
Those were the words that made him wake up.

_____________

Olivia skipped school once again.
It was draining her. School was supposed to teach her something and not to physically and mentally disintegrate her.
Her body managed to find the place she was craving for. The park made her feel at home with all the green around.

Soft songs played in her ears and a breezy wind carried her locks away from her face. Black boots touched the ground and a thick coat covered her freezing body.

The moment reminded her that it had been two weeks since Harry started avoiding her. No calls, messages or secret looks.
Olivia liked to think that it wasn't her fault. Harry didn't talk to her and she respected his choice, because it wasn't like she was the one for him anyway. But Heidi spreading lies seemed to accentuate the fire in her heart.

A raindrop falling on her nose made her shake her head slightly. Olivia stood up and started walking away with her hands buried in the warm pockets of her coat - Harry's. The coat was Harry's.

Olivia!

Her daydreaming brought her trouble. The girl continued walking towards an unknown direction, until the voice wasn't in her head anymore.

"Olivia! Wait!", it wasn't like him to scream for somebody. Which - thinking about it from another point of view - was rather sad.

Her eyebrows furrowed when she found her lover in front of her.
Oxygen trying to find its way to his lungs and it seemed an impossible task.

"Breath, Harry.", her voice reminded him and her hand on his back encouraged him to do so.
"Just like that.", she repeated and his eyes shut, craving for more comfort.

"I-I love you.", he suddenly said and before Olivia could even react, his face hid in the crook of her neck and his arms wrapped around her waist.
"I'm s-so s-sorry. S-So sorry.", Olivia felt his salty regrets against her skin, yet the only thing she could do was touch his hair as a sign of forgiveness.

"I-I shouldn't have j-judged so fast. I s-should have asked you about the whole story. I regret it so f-fucking much.", Olivia wrapped her own arms around his shoulders and brought him impossibly closer.

"C-Could you tell me what h-happened, please?", and so Olivia did. She told him about the drugs and the men, Heidi and her gals and the reason why she did what she did.

"I don't like violence.", Harry said after she finished. Olivia could only nod.
"I agree. It wasn't necessary, I know. But I did it. To protect you or just because I was really angry for what she did.", their position didn't change and that was okay.

"Can you forgive me?", she broke the silence that had formed after her last words.
"Only if you can forgive me.", Olivia's head lightly shook at his silly words.
"I love you.", she told him honestly and kissed his head.

His lips formed a small smile that was enough to melt her heart.
He lifted his head from the position it was in and looked at her, realizing how much he had missed those eyes.
Harry was a couple inches taller than her, which was a plus because he loved being able to look at her like that.

"I love you.", he repeated the meaningful words and pressed his lips against hers.
