Sophia's POV

At the doctors office I was ready to be checked out and Dr.Taxeter asked me all the basic questions

I laid down

"Now Ms. O'Dowd have you been sexually active?" She asked me

"Yes" I embarrassingly answered

"Okay is there any chance you might be pregnant?" She asked me as she was putting on her gloves

"No I just took a pregnancy test and it was negative" I replied

"Do you plan on conceiving in the future?" She asked

"Actually yes. I'm engaged and we've concluded that we want kids. We want at least one"

She nodded and I put up my legs

"Okay now...." She paused and just looked at me

"Ms. O'Dowd your cervix is too small. It's much smaller than the average size" she said

"What's that mean?" I asked getting nervous

"It means that you might never be able to carry a child." She said

"You mean I can't get pregnant?" I asked

"No I'm sorry you can't"

She took off her gloves. "But there are other options such as surrogates and adoption" she said

I shook my head "I'm

Going to go now"

I thanked her and left. When I went into my car I just sat there and cried for about an hour.

When I was actually able to see past my tears I started to drive to Elliott's place.

When I came in he was laying down on the couch reading a book with Remington on his stomach.

When he saw me he was about to smile until he saw that I've been crying.

He shot up and walked over to me "what happened?" He asked

I started to cry hysterically "I'm so sorry Elliott. I'm sorry" I cried and could barely make out the words

"Why? What happened?" He asked me

This time I faced him and said "I can't have kids Elliott. I can't get pregnant"

His face dropped and I started crying again and hugging him

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It's all my fault" I said as I put my hand on the back of his neck"

He rubbed my back while rocking back and forth on his feet

I don't remember him picking me up and carrying me to bed but somehow he did and I fell asleep in his cozy bed

I woke up to a dim light. A computer light.

I noticed I wasn't wearing the clothes I went to the doctor with today. They were folded and neatly sat on the bedside table. I was wearing one of my t-shirts and shorts

I turned around to see Elliott sitting down with his laptop typing something. His glasses were crooked and his hair was really messy

He was wearing a black t-shirt that had a DNA molecule on it with a pair of grey sweatpants.

I squinted at him and he didn't notice me waking up. I brought my hand over to his hair and moved it out of his face.

He looked over at me and smiled sadly.

"You were tired so I put you in bed" he said.

I smiled and nodded "thank you" I whispered.

I lost my voice I was crying so much
