Y/n stared at Todoroki with wide eyes at his sudden confession. Before he could even move, she smashed the door shut and slapped the boy. He began laughing softly, making her blush and looked at her e/c eyes.
"Man.. You still wont accept me.. This is just like before. Except you didn't blush" he chuckled
"That was because I was naive and a baka! We were only 7, Shoto and you came up to me asking to be soulmates!" Y/n yelled
"Well, I knew you wouldn't accept me.. Yes, I was young and naive like you but I always thought of you as an angel and my mother always said that I need to find an angel as a soulmate. So I chose you!" he explained while rubbing the back of his neck
Y/n stared at Todoroki for a moment before sighing and leaning back into the infirmary's pillow. She sunk in slowly before asking.
"If you knew I was going to decline.. Why ask?" she asked softly
"Well, you never know if one would change their mind. And I wanted to investigate something"
"'Investigate'? Investigate what?" she asked while sitting up in curiosity
"Obviously.." he began "You're love to Bakugou!"
At his simple words, Y/n's face became a tomato and she was forced to smack him with the pillow. Since it didn't hurt, Todoroki just smiled and stopped her gently before leaning in.
"But it's not fair to be honest...." he said making her gulp "WHat does Bakugou have that I don't?"
They were so close she felt their noses touch very slightly. Her face pales at the thought and she tried to come up with reasonable answers.. And...
"You may be cute, but Bakugou is ten times more than you can ever be, no offense" she stated with courage
Todoroki watched her proudly state that and gave up. He backed off and his smile faded sadly. His shoulders humped and he tried to smile but it still hurt. Finally, he stood up and faced her.
"But you know, Y/n.. If you ever needed a friend, please come by to my place. I'm still around as a shoulder for you to cry on"
"I don't cr-" She began only to be cut off by his soft finger placed on her lips gently
"Don't say something you'll have to take back later.."
Y/n was always mesmerized by his beautiful eyes and that day, it came once more. Frustrated by her girly thoughts, she pushed him off and growled. 'I wont ever admit about that...'

Soon, Y/n was fully recovered by Recovery Lady and she made her way to the lounge where her father had called her. Opening the door, she was surprised to see Shinsou with her father.
"Hitoshi..." she gasped
"Y/n, close the door and sit down" Her father said
She obeyed the order and sat down beside Shinsou, facing her father. He looked very serious and she knew something was bad.
"Oyaji? What's going on? Why is Shinsou here?" she asked continuously
"Y/n.. There's going to be this big battle and I need you to be perfectly certain who you will be with in the future.." Toshinori explained
"WHAT?! WHY?" she gasped
The two males in the room shared glances before Toshinori spoke kindly.
"Because if I die, I want your future boyfriends' name on my will..."
This snapped Y/n and she slammed her hands on the desk with anger. He looked rather surprised and Hitoshi jolted slightly.
"DON'T GIVE ME THAT CRAP, DAD! YOU WONT DIE THAT EASILY!!!" she roared
"But what if I do?"
"I CAN'T CHOOSE JUST YET!!!" she continued
"Then I give you a week to choose... You have a week to choose between your friend, Young Todoroki-"
"DAD! TODOROKI IS JUST A FRIEND!" She cut his sentence
"Your childhood best friend, Hitoshi Shinsou..." he continued without hesitation
"BUT DAD!" she tried
"URUSAI Y/N!" he yelled making her stop
".....Or Katsuki Bakugou...."
Her heart stopped for a moment and she gulped. A decision she cant bare the consequences. Looking down, she felt her eyes get watery and she sniffed.
"Fine.. Can I go now?" she snapped
"You both are dismissed.." he sighed
Y/n and Hitoshi walked out and Hitoshi wanted to start a conversation about just now only to be slapped by Y/n. He held his burning cheek in pain and stared at her in shock.
"Wha-..?"
"DID YOU PLAN THIS?" She asked with tears beginning to fall
"NO! Your father suddenly called and I went in only to be shocked like you!" he explained briefly
"BUT WHY YOU? WHY YOU OUT OF ALL PEOPLE, HITOSHI?" she yelled
"....Did you want it to be Bakugou?"
His question stabbed her heart and she clenched the rims of her shirt while biting her lips. She raised her face to see him and yelled-
"I HATE YOU, HITOSHI!!!"
Y/n dashed down the halls with tears falling and she couldn't stop. She passed a few 1-C friends who wanted to ask only to be ignored. She then passed 1-A's students but still ignored them. As she turned at a corner, she met Todoroki and he yelled at him to shut up while still running. She didn't stop until she bumped and fell into... him...
"Y/n... Why are you crying?!"
