Pauline’s POV

 

I don’t really know what happened. I don’t know either why we end up like this. I thought he was the ONE. But he’s just a memory. A man who came along and passed by.

Jake, I accepted you for who you are. I even gambled for your love. I tried to understand your personality, your identity, the real you. Isn’t it enough? That you have to let me go and go back to your past?

Jin’s sleeping beside me. I don’t know where we are. I didn’t even ask him. Well, I don’t wanna get surprised.

“Stop staring at me..” he said while his eyes are still closed.

“Nasan ba tayo? Pag dating natin dito tinulugan mo agad ako.” Humarap siya sakin, nakahiga kami sa kama. No, don’t get me wrong. Nothing happened. Pag dating naming dito, natulog siya agad. At dahil gusto kong magpahinga, humiga na lang ako sa tabi niya. Since one bed lang ang meron.

“I want you to think. You told me you want to run away with me. I should take that as an advantage, but I love you so much that I can’t even use your emotions to get what I want. You’re hurt.”

Nagulat ako sa sinabi niya.. after all, ako pa rin ang iniisip niya.

“Jin, hindi ka ba napapagod? I mean, you keep on loving me kahit na may mahal akong iba.” Ngumiti siya sakin. Most handsome face next to Jake.. oh Jake again..

“Alam mo, my heart was already locked. Even if I try to let you go, you never will. Nung unang beses na nakita kita, sabi ko sa sarili ko I will spend my life here in the present to be with you. But the funny thing is, sa kaibigan ko ikaw nagkagusto.”

I bit my lips, nakakahiya nasaktan ko siya. “Si M-mariah.. kilala niyo din ba siya?”

He nodded, “Ofcourse. We met in states. She knew everything about us. Don’t get mad at me, but I was really happy when she came back.”

Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. Gustong gusto niya yata yung nangyayari. -_-

“Jin, alam mo hirap pa din ako tanggapin na mahal ni Jake si Mariah.. bakit yung kaibigan ko..”

He hugged me bago pa ako tuluyang maiyak, “Ako na lang, Pauline.. Ako na lang..”

And out of nowhere, bigla akong tumango. Hindi ko alam kung pagsisisihan ko ba tong nagging desisyon ko bandang huli, wala na akong maisip na matino ngayon.

Basta ang alam ko lang, nasasaktan ako.. ng sobra.

“Make me fall in love with you, Jin.”
