Martin watched his daughter as she made him a cup of tea. Everytime he saw her, which wasn't every day anymore due to the growing amount of children and her having to work in the betting shop, he realised that she wasn't his little girl anymore, and there was things in her life that he would never know about, and it scared him.

"Where's John today?" Martin questioned her.

"They've gone on a business trip, Tommy's out of hospital now" She slid the cup over to her father and sat herself down, which was getting quite hard since she was very far into her pregnancy

"I've been waiting to tell you, but I've found a house, you already know how I've been wanting to move outside of Birmingham for a while now"

"That's great!" Anna smiled at her dad.

"And I want you and the kids to come with me" Martins words were spoke carefully.

Anna let out a laugh, "that's funny"

"Sweetheart, I'm being serious"

Anna paused as she glanced at her father, "Birminghams Johns home, where his family lives Dad, of course I'm not just going to take the kids and go with you"

"Anna, if Thomas Shelby, a man thought untouchable, can get beaten to the very brink of death, I don't want to imagine what mess the Shelby's are currently in"

"We've discussed this, how many times do I have to say it, Dad? You don't ask questions about business and we don't talk about business, you can't be involved in this, I set that from day one. They aren't in a mess, because they'll come out on top as they always somehow manage to do. There's things you don't and won't ever understand, and it should be kept that way"

"And besides, we've already decided that our time is coming to move further away and soon we'll have the money to do so" She cleared her throat as she fiddled with her fingers.

Martin leaned further on the table, "do you seriously believe your husband would drop all this, I don't know the in's and out's but I see enough of John to know it's easier said than done"

"It's 1924, everything's easier said then bloody done. He's fed up Dad, he wants to move out eventually just as much as I ado" Anna snapped before regretting it as she closed her eyes and sighed.

"Im sorry, I shouldn't snap. But Dad, promises are no longer broken in this house. You've told me countless times to stay beside someone who brings you more happiness than grief. You've also told me that as long as I am happy and safe, you wouldn't ask questions. Now is one of those times you need to remind yourself I am happy, with my husband, and with my family despite everything that has happened, and no questions need asking"

"Alright, right, I'll drop the matter, but that doesn't mean I will stop feeling uneasy."

"Parents are never not feeling uneasy dad, I would know, I've got nearly 7 myself. There's just things you're better off not knowing, about the whole city around you, about what's going on, about me. But everything's going to change now"
