I peek out from behind the curtain, my heart pounding as I see all the people out in the audience. The amount of people coming to my performances had sky-rocketed when Harry and I had gone public. On the one hand, I didn't like the fact that some people were only here because I was Harry's girlfriend, but on the other hand, they were still coming to see me. I bite the end of my necklace nervously as I peek out again. After weeks of rehearsals opening night had finally arrived.

I was beginning to regret telling Harry not to come. I had been worried that, if he came, it would pull the attention away from the show and even though I was used to the attention he got, the rest of the cast wasn’t and we’d all worked so hard on the show. It wouldn’t be fair to them not to get credit. Now though, I really wanted him in the audience supporting me. With a sigh, I let the curtain fall back into place and I turn around to head back to the dressing rooms.

“Harry” I yelp, jumping almost a foot in the air seeing the figure in front of me. He grins and I run over, throwing my arms around him. He wraps his arms around me, hugging me tightly. “What are you doing here?” I ask happily, pulling back to look at him.

“Did you really think I wouldn’t come?” he asks with a chuckle.

“But what about all the fans? How did you get here without being seen?” I ask. His face turns pink and a sheepish grin appears on his face as he looks off to the side, his eyes lingering on a large trunk. “You didn’t…” I say, letting out a laugh, as he turns pinker. “You hid in a prop trunk?”

“I’m afraid the flowers didn’t fair to well” he says chuckling handing me a bouquet of crumpled flowers. I let out a laugh, shaking my head as I look up at him.

“What did I do to deserve you?” I ask with a smile breathing in the scent of the flowers.

“I ask myself the same question about you all the time” he says with a smile. I smile going up on my tiptoes and pecking him on the lips.

“Five minutes” a stage manager says popping around the corner. I nod at him.

“Nervous?” Harry asks and I look back at him nodding slightly. “Don’t worry, you’ll do great. I’ll be right here waiting for you to come back just like you always are for me.”

“Thanks” I say as he pulls me into one last hug, pressing his lips against my forehead.

“Break a leg” he says with as I walk onto the stage standing on my mark. I cast one last glance at him and he winks at me before I look forward again and the curtain opens.
