Boat Trip

When we all climb onto the boat Peeta , Lukas, Ashton and Kayden sit up front while Peeta drives. All the girls file into the back of the boat. I sit next to Alex and Cameron and Ruby sit across from us. "So Alex how's life?" Cameron asks as she gets comfortable. "I'm great , how are you?" She asks politely. Effie is finally rubbing off on her. "I'm doing good" she says and sighs. "What's up?" I question her. "It's just I keep seeing things" she says and I quirk an eyebrow. "Okay I keep seeing this little girl with blonde hair. She is always crying by she sits in my room and cries. I feel so bad for her. One day she just say and looked at me and then disappeared. "Prim" I whisper. She looks at me. "Your sister , it's prim you can see her?" I ask and she nods. "You should talk to her" I say and she nods. "So Alex what's your power?" I ask her curiously. "Well my power is odd. I do have other powers but my "special" one as mom puts it is to be able to figure out anybody's full background by looking at them. I have to concentrate , look at their face and them it's like my vision is compromised and all this information comes up." She says. "That sounds cool" I say and she nods. "It's pretty interesting. "What's Ashton's?" I ask and she smiles. "His power is so cool. He knows what a person is going to do before they move it's like he's super intuitive and he can sense what a person is feeling even if they don't show it." She says. "That's interesting" I say and she nods. "So how is Ashton?" Ruby asks and winks. Alex turns a bright red and looks over at him. We all follow her eyes and see Ashton is already staring at her. "Awe" we all say and Alex just smiles. Ashton gives us a little wave and we wave back. "So Katniss , got any use out of that tail of yours" Ruby asks me and I shake my head. "No actually , maybe I can try today" I say and she nods. "Yeah I'll take you in a trial run" she tells me. "Oh my gosh that will be so fun!" I say and she just laughs. "Alex where exactly are we going!" Peeta shouts from the front. "Ashton knows!" She shouts back. "Ok!" He shouts again and we laugh. Pretty soon the boat comes to a stop. "Were here!" He shouts and we all cheer. "Ready for that swim?" Ruby asks and I nod taking my clothes off leaving me in my bikini. Peeta wolf whistles and I glare at him playfully. He just laughs and so does everyone else. "Peeta you coming to try out your tail?" I ask and he shakes his head. "Being a fish freaks me out" he says and I just took my eyes. "You need to get used to it" I say. "I will but not now" he says. "Okay , be back soon" I say and everyone waves bye. Ruby jumps off the side of the boat and I follow her. As soon as I jump into the water it's like my legs are joining together and let me tell you it hurts. I groan in pain and ruby grabs my hand. "It's always like this on the first swim" she says. Soon the pain goes away and so do my legs. I lift my tail out the water and everyone gasps. "That's beautiful" Ruby says. It starts of very light blue and gradually gets darker. At the very bottom there is a hint of orange. The full tail shimmers in the sunlight. For a top I have one similar to my tail with a mixture of blues. "I love it" I say and everyone agrees with me. "Peeta please come in!" I whine. "Ugh fine!" He huffs and pulls his shirt off. He jumps in and soon groans in pain. "It's like someone is pushing my bones together" he says which makes us laugh. Did I mention that it has changed my makeup and hair. My hair is down in it's natural waves with seashells tangled in it. It is now blue ombre and I love it. There is also a big seashell clipping the front out of my face. Ruby holds a mirror in front if my face and I see my makeup is blue and gold eyes. Black mascara. I have nude lips and some sparkle on my eyes. The gold eyeliner is done in an intricate pattern. "You look beautiful." Peeta says. I look over and see him topless. Obviously , it would look a bit odd if he was going about with a bra on top. I laugh at the thought. His tail is like the opposite of mine. He has a tail that starts light orange and gets darker. It also has a tint of blue at the very bottom. "Your tails are like perfect together" Ruby say and I smile. "It feels like I have one big leg" Peeta says and I laugh. I just feel like my legs have disappeared" I say and ruby agrees with me. "Let's go swim" she says and it's now that I notice Ruby's tail up close. It's like the same colour as her prom dress with hints of gold through it. Her bra top matches and her makeup is pretty similar to how she had it at prom as well. Her hair is clipped back with a little pink sea shell and her hair is pink ombre. She has tints of gold that run through it perfectly. She looks stunning. "Okay you just have to move your hips and tip of your tail" she says and we both nod. "Like this" she says and demonstrates for us. We start following her lead and soon we have the hang of it. "Hey want to head back for he boat , I'm starving" Ruby says and we both nod and follow her to the boat. "How do we get on the boat?" I ask as we reach it. "Umm like this" she says and dives deep under the water. Pretty soon she comes flying out the ocean and lands on the boat. "Umph" she says form the impact. "I'll try next" I say and dive down. I thrust my tail really fast as I head up the at a quick speed. Soon I go flying out the water and onto the boat but instead of landing on the boat I land on someone. "Ouch" I hear someone whine and I look down to see Kayden underneath me. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" I say and flip of of him. "Thanks for breaking my fall though" I say and he just laughs. A few seconds later my tail disappears and I am back to being in my bikini. A few minutes later Peeta comes up and lands on the deck. I help Kayden up and then go and join everyone in the back of the boat. We all sit down and then Peeta walks in with the picnic basket. "Thank god" I say and grab it off him. He shakes his head and I smile at him. We all dig in and just laugh and talk the day away. Soon it is getting dark and Peeta suggests we head back. We are currently in a cave thing. It's like big rocks and a hole in the top where you can see the sky. "No , we have I stay until the stars come out. It's amazing" Alex says and we all agree. "Good thing we got blankets , it's pretty cold here" I say and everyone asks for some. We are all in shorts and vest tops so we are pretty cold. Out the corner of my eye I see Ashton give Alex his jumper and she put it on. It a a bit big but she still wears it. She puts her legs up on the bench that they are sitting on and lays her head on Ashton's chest. I smile at the sight. Ashton catches me looking at them and just smiles lightly as he strokes Alex's hair. I look away as he whispers something in her ear and she blushes before saying something back. I didn't listen because I didn't want to invade their conversation. I stand up and collect the five huge blankets that I brought i hand one to Ashton , one to Lukas , one to Kayden and one to Peeta. Ashton and Alex are taking up one of the bench things. They are actually really comfy. They have white cushions on them. Ruby and Lukas are leaning up against the chair with one of the cushions behind Lukas and Ruby lays her head on his chest. Cameron and Kayden are laying on the floor looking up at the sky with Cameron laying on his chest as the blanket goes around them. Peeta and I are taking up another couch and he wrote the blanket around him while I sit on his knee and he wraps it around me as well. "I love you" he whispers in my ear and I smile. "I love you too" I whisper back and he smiles widely at me. He starts to stroke my hair and hums in my ear. I close my eyes and listen as he hums kingdom come by civil wars in my ear. "Look" I hear Alex gasp and we all look up to see the blue and purple sky with stars scattered across it. There is a full moon that lights up the sky perfectly giving it a soft glow. There is not one cloud and you can se every star in the sky. "It's beautiful" I whisper. "It's amazing" Cameron says. "It's just wow" ruby says. "It's breathtaking" Alex says and we all smile and agree. I don't keno how and I don't know when but I somehow fell asleep. Listening to the small waves splashing up the side of the boat and looking at the stars made me tired and I fell into a deep sleep.
