Chapter 15

I quickly glanced around, unsure of what section of the train I was on.

I mentally did a face palm as I realized I was still in the seventh year section, disappointed my breathless running practically got me nowhere.

I was about to start roaming around when I heard the deep voice of an employee.

"Hey!" I jumped and turned, turning so pale ghosts would be nothing compared to me.

The man gave me a disproving look before speaking once again.

"Your not supposed to be out of your room when the train is moving. Go on, scram! Or do I have to escort you back?"

"No, no," I said nervously. "I'm just going back now."

He gazed suspiciously at me as I made my way to a random door, praying it didn't contain anymore malicious teens, and opened it.

All chatter ended as eyes turned to me, yet this time, they weren't hard and cold, but confused and curious.

I stood there for a few awkward minutes, waiting for one of the children to speak up. When no one did, I gave up and opened my mouth.

"Um, hello...." A few grins appeared on their faces, and a girl with auburn straight silky hair and a freckled face came up to me.

"Hi! I'm Lucy, and this is Ned, Miranda, Matt, and Nicole." I was a bit surprised she had accepted me so easily, quick to introduce herself and her friends.

They all looked at me with welcoming faces, willing to embrace a new face.

Ned had a mop of brown hair lazily combed to the side, and light hazel eyes, full of warmth. Completely the opposite of Tom's.

Miranda looked to be the type of girl who loved makeup and doing her hair, with a flawless face and perfectly brushed, glossy jet black hair. But I could tell from the nice smile on her face, she wasn't cold in demeanor like some girls were.

I concluded Matt to be the one who stood out the most out of the whole gang. His whole aura read arrogant, yet it wasn't evil or torturing the way Tom's was. He had sleek black hair, which looked like fingers had ran through it multiple times. Aqua blue deep eyes peered at me mysteriously, however not menacingly.

He was quite handsome actually, so much that he could easily be a player. I warned myself to be careful around him. I had to much experience with cocky boys.

Nicole was the last one I briefly surveyed. She had this whole gothic look going on for her. Long wavy bleach blonde hair covered one eye, and thick, dark eyeliner surrounded her eye as dark purple lipstick painted her lips. She smiled sweetly at me, and I concluded she was perfectly fine with me.

"Hey guys, well I'm Aneline and I'm new to the school." Lucy raised her eyebrows.

"No wonder we've never seen you around before. Let's hope you'll be sorted into Ravenclaw with us!" She squealed excitedly as she pointed to the patch of a raven on her robe, identical to all the other robes on everyone else.
