My banshee

The next day Tsu'tey leads a group of four up a trail all riding Direhorses

Back with Tsu'tey

Tsu'tey signals a stop and everyone halts.Ahead is an astounding formation. Thick vine-like trees have trapped large floating boulders of unobtanium in their gnarled grip.A hundred meters above them more boulders are woven into the twisted vine-trunks. This is some sort of freak natural occurrence -- like the mythical beanstalk, going up into the
clouds.

There is a thundering roar, like an artillery barrage, and the ground shakes. Jake and Hakguk look around at one of the floating mountains grinding against the flank of a nearby mesa. A huge rockfall is set loose. The mountain is drifting toward them, filling half the sky.

The Hunters dismount.Hakguk looks up at the beanstalk going into the clouds. He turns to Tsu'tey, who was staring a little too low at Hakguk's form. Jake walks over and stands in front of Hakguk. "Are we doing this?" Tsu'tey rolls his eyes and walks ahead leaving Hakguk and Jake to catch up.

Up the beanstalk

200 meters up the beanstalk , the hunters nimbly climb along the vine-trunks. They clamber over one of the unobtanium boulders which is lifting this incredible tree.Hakguk looks down -- the massive trunk dwindles to the size of a licorice stick. A chunk breaks off a boulder as he climbs over it -- it floats upward.

They reach the upper branches of the beanstalk. Above them,the craggy underbelly of Mons Veritatis looms. Spray from one of the waterfalls hits them.Hakguk stifles a giggle as Jake frowns. Some of the hanging vines are brushing over the upper branches of the beanstalk with a crackling hiss.

One by one the hunters grab onto vines as they pass.Hakguk gulps and launches himself forward being able to successfully grab a vine. Jake smirks and launches himself forward and he grabs a vine but his hand slips just a bit so he slides down a bit lower. Hakguk let's out a sigh of relief and they begin to climb up.

Hakguk's pov

Once we reach the cave I look around and stay close by to Jake. It's somewhat dark but I'm not bothered,as we keep walking finally we reach a clearing. There is a waterfall right where we are at and a small ledge of sorts where we have to enter through to get to the banshees. From here you can hear their squeaking and flapping of wings.

"Wow they are really Lou-"
I get pushed back a bit by a suddenly gust of wind. I look over and see neytiri on her banshee. She laughs a bit at my face of shock then she gets off and walks over to Jake and pats his chest. "Yeah laugh I didn't almost have a heart attack or anything." They ignore me and talk amongst themselves. "Assholes."

"Jakesully should go first." Tsu'tey states earning hoots and hollers from the other boys that came. I crossed my arms over my chest. He was just trying to get back at Jake for coming here in the first place. "It's okay Jake you can do it!" I cheered. He looked over and smiled widely at me. "Thanks Hakguk!" He went through the ledge and neytiri soon followed.

"Let's do this." I crack my knuckles then I follow them. I felt someone grab my wrist so I simply yanked my wrist away and went inside. Once we made it to the other side I was awestricken. There were so many beautiful Banshees sitting around. They came in so many colors and sizes it was impossible for anyone to look a like.

I stay behind with Neytiri and we watch Jake do his thing. "Let's dance." He chants before swinging his leather strap at the banshee. "Um question what's happening?!" Neytiri looks over at me and smiles widely. "Ah well that is his ikran! It chose him." I tilt my head to the side. "You see the banshee is trying to kill him. That's how you know they have chosen you."

I look at Jake who is jumping on the banshee then I look at Neytiri. "Outstanding." She giggles and places a hand on my shoulder. "That's exactly what Jake said." We both laugh then we gasp as Jake is sent over the edge. I hear Tsu'tey laugh which pisses me off. "Jake!!!!" I run over but don't see him. Tsu'tey was still laughing. "If he dies ill kill you." I hiss. Tsu'tey stops laughing and looks at me.

Neytiri looks over then she laughs once she sees Jake swinging himself up. "He is okay!" I look over and relief flows through me. "Thank goodness!!!!" I wipe a tear from my eye and watch as Jake manages to tame the banshee. Neytiri runs over and whispers something to him ear before she pushes him and the banshee off the edge. I run over with a scared expression "relax Hakguk it's just the first flight seals the bond between the driver and the ikran"

I look over and see Jake flying with ease. "He did it!" Everyone starts to cheer but Tsu'tey glares at them. "Why don't you go join him." I motion to Jake. Neytiri looks over and smiles. "Alright I will!" She calls her banshee to come for her while I giggle.

"Alright Anjeet you should go next." I hear Tsu'tey comment but before Anjeet can even try I'm already being pushed by a rather large banshee off the edge. Tsu'tey looks over and gasps loudly. "Hakguk get out of there!" I ignore him and let out a war cry as I duck under the huge beast and start to climb its wings. The banshee tries to shake me off but I only keep climbing till I'm on it's back.

The squawking and shrieking of the beast gets louder and louder the more it tries to buck me off like a bull. It slams me against the rock wall earning several groans from me and hisses from those watching. "Yeeeeaghhhh!!!" I wrap my arms around its neck as it keeps hitting me up against the wall. "Let go! Just let him go!!" Tsu'tey yells at me. I grab his antenna and my queue then I connect them.

The banshee stops struggling and calms down. I smile and take time to really admire my banshee. He has pitch black wings with red splotches on its back and under his wings. Compared to the others this one was much bigger in size. I could see gold specks decorate my banshee's head leading all the way to his face. Tsu'tey runs over with an angered expression but also one of relief.

"You are crazy!" I only giggle in response. "Go the first flight seals the bond!" He pushes us forward and before I know what's going on we are plummeting down the edge. "HOLY SHIT!!!" I try to steer my banshee but no matter what I try nothing works. His squawking fills the air and its getting on my nerves because I can't think straight. "Oh shut up and fly straight!"

Suddenly the banshee stops squawking and flies straight. I cock an eyebrow and mutter another direction. "Go left." The banshee once again does as told and flies left. "This is amazing!" I hear hollering and I look over to see Jake smiling at me. I smile back and fly faster only to be passed up by Neytiri. "Oh it's on!" I scream and make my Banshee fly faster.
