Meeting Tsu'tey

(Finally!)

Author's pov

Neytiri was leading the two men to her clan at a fast pace. Jake had trouble keeping up while Hakguk looks like he has ran in logs from a high elevation millions of times. They were silent but Jake was curious about one thing in particular. "What's your name?" Before Neytiri can answer his question a whooshing sound resonates through the forest and soon Jake goes tumbling down.

Hakguk gasps as he feels something wrap around his legs. As he goes tumbling down as well he sees the worried face of Neytiri. Hakguk lands with a big "oof!" While Jake just groans in pain a bit. "What the hell happened!?" Hakguk sits up and struggles to free his legs from the rope that is now cutting into his calves. "Damn this is tight!" He pulls out a pocket knife and starts to saw away at the rope while Jake hisses.

Once Hakguk is free he tosses the pocket knife to Jake and he looks around. He looks a the ground and notices some pebbles bouncing. "Jake hurry!" Jake cuts the rope off after much struggling and gets up in a hurry. "Let's go!" But just as they were about to run several Na'vi riders show up in their direhorses while others are on foot. Jake opens the blade and points it at them but several spears are aimed at his neck.

"Drop the blade Jake. We are already a threat to them don't make it worse." Hakguk hisses in a low voice as to not alert the others. Jake releases a breathy laugh and drops the knife. Soon Neytiri shows up with a pissed of expression and goes up to the leader.

"Aish Tsu'tey what are you doing!? They are my captives!!" Jake looks at Hakguk so Hakguk translates in a whisper only Jake can hear. "The man she is talking to is named Tsu'tey she is questioning his motives." Jake nods and they look back at Neytiri.

"These demons are forbidden here. I will kill this one as a lesson to the others!" Tsu'tey points at Jake so Jake looks at Hakguk. "He is saying we don't belong here...and he plans to kill you." At this point Jake was beyond nervous,he didn't understand how Hakguk could be so damn calm about the whole situation.

"Stop! There has been a sign. This is a matter for the Tsahik." Jake looked over at Hakguk and saw Hakguk let out a sigh of relief. "What is going on?"

"Bring them."

Hakguk smiles at Jake, "we won't be killed...yet they are going to take us to their leader." Jake let out a sigh of relief but when they started walking he did not like to be held by his braid. They had a spear to both their necks as they jogged.

After a while they arrive at a 250 foot tall tree. They enter the tree and Hakguk stares in awe at everything around him.The light of the fires illuminate the inside well enough for Hakguk to see a vast cylindrical gallery like a living cathedral. Bio-luminescent insects flutter about making the home tree ever more lovely.

The central space is occupied by a skull of an enormous creature, mounted with feathers of a variety of colors and sizes on a totem. Standing in front of the skull is a Na'vi man who Hakguk can only guess is the clan leader Eytukan.

As they get shoved closer the nearby Na'vi gather and look at the two Avatars in curiosity but also hostility. Once they reach the front Eytukan walks over with an angered expression. "Why do you bring these creatures here?!"

Jake looked at Hakguk and Hakguk sighed. "He is asking why we are here." Jake nods and they look at Neytiri who bowed a bit before speaking. "I was going to kill him, but there was a sign from Eywa." Hakguk's eyes widened which didn't go unnoticed by Tsu'tey. "She was going to kill us." Hakguk muttered to Jake. Jake looked over and he tensed knowing he could have been killed.

"I have said no dreamwalker will come here, to offend our home! Their alien smell fills my nose." Hakguk once again translated and Jake scoffed a bit feeling offended. Hakguk elbowed him as a warning so Jake stayed quiet. "Father, many atokirina came to these aliens." Hakguk stayed quiet feeling a piercing gaze on him. Jake nudged Hakguk, "what's going on?" Neytiri turned a bit and answered for Hakguk. "My father is deciding whether to kill you or not."

Jake looked over and smiled, "father? Uh good to meet you sir." Jake attempted to shake Eytukan's hand but he was held back by the Na'vi. "You get dumber and dumber as we continue to talk." Hakguk shook his head and spoke up. "I'm sorry for his idiotic behavior." The Na'vi gasped at the fact one of the dreamwalkers know their language. "Hm?" Eytukan didn't know what to say. "Step back!"

Everyone looks over and sees a woman around her 50's standing on the second level. "I'll look at these aliens." Hakguk's eyes widened knowing exactly who that is. "Oh my god." Jake looks over. "What?!" Hakguk calms his breathing a bit. "That's Mo'at she is the clan's matriarch!" Jake was confused so he didn't say anything else instead he asked Neytiri who she was.

"That is Mother. She is Tsahik -- the one who interprets the will of Eywa.." Jake nodded then he tilted his head. "What's eywa?" Hakguk sighed and face palmed a bit. Mo'at circles around them as she grabs their tails and flicks their ears. "What are you called?" She asks in a thick accent.

"I'm Jake sully and the man next to me is Min Hakguk." Mo'at looks at Hakguk and grins a bit. "You have a nice name." Hakguk's cheeks turn purple and those around him laugh a bit. "Ah thank you very much." She nods then she takes a long thorn from her necklace and pricks Jake's skin. She licks the blood off. Her eyes widen a bit, "why have you come?" She walks over to Hakguk and does the same. When she tastes his blood she steps back a bit then she smiles and glances at Tsu'tey.

"Uhh we came to learn." Mo'at shakes her head. "I asked why did you come." Jake scratches his neck. "I came to learn." Mo'at laughs a bit almost mockingly. "We have tried to teach other Sky People. It is hard to fill a cup which is already full." Tsu'tey keeps glaring at Hakguk the entire time. "My cup is empty trust me ask Dr.Augustine."

Mo'at sighs and walks over to Hakguk. "Why have you come?" Hakguk looks at her and she can see the sadness in his eyes. "All my life I've always wanted to capture the beauty of life around me. It's hard to do that on Earth if there is no beauty left. I came here to capture the beauty of this wonderful world. Beauty if fleeting so I wish that others like me know that there is some sort of life that isn't metal and pollution." Mo'at pats Hakguk's head lovingly like mother would do to her child. "Who are you?"

"I'm an artist and a storyteller!" Mo'at looks over at Jake and asks him the same question. "I'm a m- warrior. I'm a warrior of the jarhead clan." Hakguk looked over and rolled his eyes "oh you are a jarhead alright." Jake looked over and glared causing Hakguk to giggle.

"A warrior and an artist I could kill them easily!!" Eytukan stopped his son from attacking Jake. "No this is the first warrior and artist we have had come to us! We must study them!" Hakguk clutched his heart in relief. "What are they saying?"Jake asks by his question goes ignored as Mo'at talks to Neytiri. "What no give me the other one!" Mo'at shakes her head. "My daughter will show you our ways so learn well Jakesully. And as for you Hakguk....Tsu'tey will show you the beauty this world holds so do well in capturing it."

Hakguk bows showing respect then he is pulled over by Tsu'tey. "Let's go."
