Mania's Pov

It was the day on the eclipse. I sat in the cell down in the basement and waited for the night to fall. I didn't want to go anywhere. At least now Rebekah wouldn't ever have to se me again. I held our rings together. I fucking love her. I always will.

"Are you sure you don't want to do anything?" I heard Stefan say from the other side of my cell.

"I want the day to move quicker." I told him hollowly. He sighed and opened my door.

"Mania, I know it hurts. Maybe if you went and said one last goodbye-"

"No, it's better that she doesn't know. It's better that I will be nowhere near her." I told him. If it wasn't a little obvious I had gotten a little closer to Stefan since being here for six months.

"How long until the eclipse?" I asked him.

"2 hours. Everyone's up there celebrating. Maybe a little fun will cheer you up?" He asked. I rolled over and sat up from the small bed I had.

"Can't you just go back to not liking me like everyone else? I'd rather die without friends. It's easier for everyone." I told him. He rolled his eyes at my pessimistic attitude.

"First off no, I'm not gonna let you be alone on the last day of your life." He said. I rolled my eyes and laid my head back on the wall.

"You are too nice for your own good." I told him. He shrugged at me and smiled.

"Elena's going to be human tomorrow." Matt told us. My brothers looked up at him a little surprised.

"How's that? They don't have a cure." Klaus said. He shrugged.

"Damon said that they are making one with the help of a god. Wouldn't tell me the name. Anyway, supposedly the god who helped got everything together and is willing to give their life for it. Everyone's happy about it except for Stefan." Matt told us. I raised an eyebrow at that. Who'd give their life for that puny vampire?

"This person must have nothing to live for if they're willing to give their life for Elena." Klaus said. Matt shrugged.

"You guys heard from Mania? She hasn't been here in a few months." Matt asked. I shrugged.

"Last time I saw her she was hanging around.... Stefan..." My eyes widened. You don't think.. Klaus must have caught on to what I was thinking.

"Mania's not stupid enough to give her life for Elena, she has you." He said. I shook my head.

"No, I-I gave the rings back, I-I shoved her away when she said she wasn't coming back. She said she didn't have much to live for. Klaus she said no because she's been helping them!" I cried out. I had to stop her. I collected my things and tried rushing out of the grill. Both of my brothers tailed behind me.

"We don't know she's helping them. Calm down let's think this through-"

"No! Mania didn't say no to me because she didn't want me back. She said no because she's been helping them. I am not about to let her die for that stupid girl. I messed up by giving the rings back. I need to find her and make sure she's not already dead!"

"Where are we going to do the spell?" Bonnie asked. The eclipse was in an hour so they wanted to get set up at a certain location.

"Well since I'm the one dying I say we do the falls. You can drain my body outside and I'll have a view when I die." I weighed in. They shrugged agreeing and got everything ready for me to complete the spell. I twirled the rings on my fingers as I waited for them to get ready.

"Thank you again for this." I heard from the side. I turned and saw Elena standing there. I shrugged at her.

"I've lived for a very long time, I think now is a good time to say goodbye to this life. I just happen to be helping you in the process, don't take it to heart." I told her. She nodded and went back over to Damon. I saw Bonnie with the spell book and cure. I got up and walked over to them.

"Ready?" I asked. They nodded and touched Bonnie's shoulder.

"Meet us at the falls." I told them and teleported with Bonnie to the falls. We were the first ones there, obviously. She found a nearby rock and put the stuff on it.

"What is one thing you want to do before you die?" I asked Bonnie out of the blue. She stopped looking at the page and turned her attention to me.

"Fall in Love probably." She said. I chuckled and glanced at her.

"Trust me, it's not all it's cracked up to be. There's the fights, heartbreak, and lots of problems. But it's even worse if they leave. If they throw it back at your face and tell you to never come back." I said. She watched me as I talked sadly.

"That's why you have the memories. Remember how happy you were and then go on to change someone else's life for the better." She said. I crossed my arms and tried not to look at the rings on my fingers.

"I'm going to miss her." I said, referring to Rebekah.

"Not to change your mind about helping Elena or anything but, why did you leave her? If you're as in love with her as you say you are, why leave her alone?" She asked me. I looked at her fully. She had a confused face and I sighed.

"Six months ago, Rebekah got hurt by someone who pretended to be me. I saved her but she didn't remember. So when she woke up she didn't even want to be in the same house as me. I was terrified that she was terrified of me. So I left, I've caused that family to go through to much shit so, this is kind of an apology to them and my wife." I told her. She nodded and then looked over hearing footsteps. I turned and saw Stefan, Elena, and Damon.

"Let's do this then."
