Chapter 7

Amalia’s POV

My eyelids fluttered open at the sound of a car honk.

'MOVE YOUR ASS, YOU OLD HAG,' yelled Nathan, banging the car honk furiously. It toke another second to realise that half of my body was pressed up against's Eric, with my head laying on his chest. How did I end up here exactly? I groaned, then immediately felt my stomach rumble. I hadn't eaten all day yesterday.

'Hungry?' Nathan called, who seemed happier now that the car with the old hag infront had turnt left.

'Yeah,' I grumbled, trying to slide out from Eric's possessive iron grip.

'We'll find a drive thru somewhere. I'm feeling slightly peckish too.' He laughed throatily.

I felt Eric stir beside me because of all my fidgeting, and he woke up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes with his left hand while his right arm tightened around me.

'Good morning,' he yawned and turned his head to look at me, only to see my stern face.

'What did I do now?' He asked, exasperated.

'I don't like waking up and finding myself on you. So stop it,' I snapped, glaring him with all my might.

Eric simply shrugged nonchalantly.

'I can't help it with you roll over to me in the middle of the night,' He said.

I gasped. The thought of me, trying to cuddle HIM, was just simply idiotic.

'I did not.'

'Really, how can you be so sure?' He grinned, which made me doubt myself for a while, before resuming back to the idea that he was messing me about.

'Eric I really hate you,' I moaned, finally managing to slip out of his embrace and slide towards the other side of the car.

'I know.' He sighed, folding his arms across his chest.

We soon arrived at a drive-thru and got something to eat.

'We're almost there.' Nathan grinned.

We had been on the road for three days since I was kidnapped. I still hated Eric but I really liked Nathan, and couldn't understand how somebody like him could be involved in such a crime. I could see the guilt in his eyes, so I knew he felt some remorse but with Eric, it was like, he thought it was.... normal. How kidnapping can be considered a 'normal' task is beyond me? Has it something to do the wolf psyche? What do I know about wolves? They live in the wild. They eat rabbits. They have four legs. Crap, I know little about wolves. And who is to say that werewolves are the same as wolves. I mean, they are half wolf and half human. Wait, wolves were pack animals. Did they live in packs?

'Do you live in a pack?' I asked, looking Eric in the eye, but he didn't answer. Nathan answered.

'Yes. We're a small pack, and we don't all live in one big reservation like Harry's pack. We have the pack house or headquarters where Jake and I live, along with a select few of werewolves but most live in their own homes either throughout the woods or in the town.'

'Why, I thought wolf packs stuck together?' I said, furrowing my eyebrows.

'We are half human remember. How many human adults do you know live in a house of thirty people? I already find the other four guys annoying. I can't even begin to imagine the whole pack living there?' Nathan shoke his head.
