Chapter 6

Logan’s pov

We left the room in silence, honestly I didn’t know if I was coming or going today, between Harry nearly killing me in the car from Harley’s pain or Harley kicking ass at school and amazing me with her sheer strength and power, my head was a total shed. Up until this moment I had to agree with everyone, that Harry was the stronger twin, the one made for his Alpha title. He was strong, fast, smart, cunning everything you needed for a good Alpha except a few important things, compassion, love, sympathy. Everything Harley had in mounds and today she had shown her own strength and power never mind what she’d just done in there and taken the wrap for us all.

I shuddered as I walked out thinking of what was coming Harleys way, the poor girl was going to get it, I hated the thought of her going up against my Aunt, Uncle and Dad when they had their Alpha and Beta heads on, don’t get me wrong I understood their position but I wish it wasn’t Harley facing them. I grimaced rubbing my shoulder slightly from where dad had been gripping me tightly I knew at that moment they knew she was covering for Harry, Hayden and Flynn. He knew I knew that’s why he stared me down waiting for me to crumble.

“You” Harry said angrily snapping me from my thoughts storming across the room pointing at Flynn narrowing his eyes and pushing his arm against his throat

“Haz leave him” I said quietly not moving just looking over at them, Flynn looked drained his features dropping and full of sadness he wasn’t even making any attempt to fight back or even struggle, he was just accepting, like it was a normal everyday occurrence that his best friend would have him pinned against a wall

“How could you do it to her” he spat, again Flynn didn’t say or do anything not even flinch he just looked so upset

“Harry come on leave him alone, I’m as angry as you for what he’s done but come on we’ve done the same and you fighting him won’t help Harley, he’s your friend Haz, he’s our friend and as much as we want to kill him right now I really don’t think it’s a good idea” I said sighing, I’d learnt over the years the best way to deal with Harry’s temper is to just bring Harley into it. Right on cue as soon as he realised she didn’t need this he dropped him to the ground, Flynn looking up and dusting himself off

“Flynn, why couldn’t you just tell us” he said quieter, when it hit me, he wasn’t just upset with how he’d treated Harley he was upset because he hadn’t been able to tell either of us he’d found his mate, even if it was Harley

“Haz I’m sorry, I just didn’t know how and the longer I left it the worse things got and I couldn’t, I mean I just didn’t know how to get out of the hole I’d dug.” He said looking at the floor, only then did I realise just how much he was suffering. I honestly could have slapped myself for not noticing before. Sure there had been signs, his mood swings, him walking off in silence every time Harley was near, him going off on his own only saying he was going out on his bike but no we didn’t realise, stupid Harry and me had been too involved in our own lives to even think anything was wrong with Flynn

“It doesn’t matter Flynn, we would have understood more than you keeping hurting her and why is now any different why on earth would you change for her now” he said shaking his head bringing his hands up rubbing his temples again like he always did when it involved her.

“Because I love her and I need her, I honestly don’t think I can go another day without her” he said simply and honestly making Harry look up and lock eyes with him again
