The Makeover (Magcon Boys FanFiction)

Chapter 22

Tonight we were celebrating Halloween again during Magcon, but I wasn't going in my Sonic costume. I was going as a punk tumblr girl.

I changed into a crop muscle tank top with the moon phases on it and a pair of black short jean shorts. I slipped on my black Vans and put my iPhone in my pocket. I left my hair down and put on a black flower crown. I did my make up and went to Cameron's room.

I needed to know why he did those things to me in high school. Was it for the fun of picking on someone smaller than him? Or maybe he hated my guts for some unknown reason? I don't know.

I knocked on the door and Nash answered.

"Hey, you look awesome!" Nash hugged me.

"Thanks" I smiled. Nash was in a simple shirt and some basketball shorts. He obviously just woke up because his hair was still pretty messy.

"Where's Cameron?" I asked.

"In here" Nash let me in and Cameron was dressed in all black. He was wearing black suit pants, a black long sleeve button up, and a pair of black dress shoes with his hair was neatly gelled up. He looked like an angel.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Cameron asked.

"I need to talk to you," I said and turned to Nash. "Alone."

"I'm just gonna go... that way" Nash said and walked out of the room.

I breathed in and didn't let my fear get the best of me. I needed to know.

"Why did you bully me all those years?"

Cameron looked down in sadness.

"I don't know" He shrugged. He wasn't telling the truth. I could tell.

"Cameron, please tell me." I looked up at him with tears in my eyes. "Please. I need to know."

"I can't tell you" Cameron said, looking out the hotel window, which showed the parking lot.

"Why?! Why can't you tell me? Huh?! Don't I deserve to know?!" I started to get angry and I could feel my face get hot in anger.

Cameron didn't answer. I could hear his heavy breathing. I walked over to him and made him look at me.

"TELL ME!" I yelled.

"I WAS IN LOVE WITH YOU, OKAY?!" Cameron slammed the open bathroom door shut in anger. "Ive been in love with you this entire time. I never stopped loving you."

And just like that, the room went dead silent. All you could hear was Cameron's heavy breaths.

"I-I didn't know" I was shell shocked, to say the least. I never would've thought that Cameron loved me, let alone liked me. As a person, as a human being. Just in general.

I've always thought of Cameron as a monster. A menace. The person who destroyed my life. The person who made me try to end my life. The person who ruined everything in my life.

But looking at him now, I saw a fragile human being who was broken inside. Like every thought in his head was slowly killing him. And I realized he wasn't a monster. He was just like me. Broken. Scared. Dead inside.

And I did something I never thought I'd do. I walked over to Cameron and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly with tears in my eyes.

"I love you too."
