Chapter Thirteen

Aphmau wakes up but doesn't open her eyes as she feels a heavy object on her.

She finally opens her eyes just to smile at the sight. Aaron is sleeping soundly and his head is resting on her stomach. She can even hear him quietly snore.

Aphmau chuckles and shakes her head. She hesitantly puts her hand near Aaron's face and caresses his cheeks and trails it down to his jawline.

Aaron soon wakes up and groans. He slowly opens her eyes and gets a sight of Aphmau. "H-Hi." He sheepishly says. His eyes soon widen at his sleeping position and he quickly gets up.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to sleep on you! I mean it's not like I didn't want too...b-but! I-I guess I f-fell asleep..and I di—"

Aphmau puts her finger on Aaron's lips to shush him up and she couldn't help but chuckle. "You're funny." She smiles and seals this by slowly leaning forward, pressing her soft lips against his. She slowly pulls away and stares into his eyes, his expression is mixed with shock, excitement, joy.

Aphmau laughs and Aaron can't help but embarrassingly laugh at himself as he rubs the back of his neck.

She shakes her head and looks out her window. The sun is rising as its golden yellowish color reflects through the glass. Then it deadpans on her.

3 more days.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Aaron touches her shoulder in a soothing way and looks at her.

"T-Three more days left, Aaron."

Aaron himself couldn't help but be sad. In three more days, the girl in front of him will leave his side. In three more days, happiness will be drained from his own being. In three more days, he will miss her...but this can possibly be solved.

Then it dawns on Aaron. "A-Aph?"

Aphmau turns to look at him and listens.

"What if...we find that missing potion?" He asks with hope in his eyes.

Hope sparkles in Aphmau's eyes but soon vanishes as she realizes something. "It's impossible...we checked the forest where I dropped it but it wasn't there...Heck, someone could have already used it!" She exclaims as tears start to blur her vision. She attempts to wipe these with her hands but fails. "I-I'm sorry...I'm just being emotional." She says.

"Ssshhhhh." Aaron calmly says as he gently wipes Aphmau's tears that are running along her cheeks. "Please don't cry, I hate it when you cry."

Aaron can't stop himself and hugs Aphmau. He softly brushes her hair and whispers soothingly into her ear.

In a few seconds, they both pull away as they look into each other's eyes.

"Aph," Aaron starts as he kisses her forehead. "I promise you..."

"...That I will find that potion no matter how long it takes."
