Chapter Seven

Aaron and Aphmau walk through the woods as they search for Aphmau's bag. Looking left and right, making sure to not miss a single thing.

Aphmau sighs in defeat. "We're never going to find it..." Aphmau breathes out as she looks down in disappointment.

Aaron notices Aphmau's sudden change of attitude so he wastes no time to go near her. He puts both his hands on Aphmau's shoulders and rubs in a soothing matter. "It's okay." He soothingly says.

Aphmau feels the tears starting to fall so she buries her face on Aaron's neck and hugs him, hoping that he doesn't notice her starting to tear up.

"Please tell me what the potion does. So that I can at least get the idea of why you're so worried about it?"

Aphmau sighs as she realizes that there's no getting out of this. Whether she likes it or not, he needs to know what the potion inside of the bag does.

Aphmau pulls away from their hugging position and looks at Aaron right in the eye, hoping that her eyes weren't being obvious of her crying state.

"Do you have any idea how I turned into a human?" Aphmau asks Aaron. Letting the words leave her mouth in a second.

Aaron ponders this for a moment and couldn't think of any idea. The thought didn't even cross Aaron's mind. "No...." He lets himself think deep for a moment. "Unless..."

"A potion." They both say in unison. Aaron raises both his eyebrows. "So that means...you're not staying here for long..." He starts to say. "But I still don't get what the potion in the bag does since you already used the potion that turns you into a human.." He breathes out and stares at the girl's amber eyes.

"Well...the potion in that bag is the one that can prolong the spell for 2 days. But I guess...I'll just be here for 5 days then." Aphmau tells Aaron. Pouring all the information that he needs to know about him.

Aaron takes a moment to register the thoughts in his brain. Then it hits him.

I need to find that potion. He thought. Anything to let Aphmau stay longer with him.

Aaron lets go of Aphmau and starts to rummage through the bushes and checks every direction like a crazy baboon.

"Aaron, stop." But he doesn't stop. He keeps looking. Pushing away rocks and hoping to see a bag that is with a potion in it.

"Aaron..." Aphmau tries to stop him. "I need to find it." Was Aaron's reply.

"Aaron, stop."

"I need to find it."

"Aaron..."

"You can't leave my side, not again."

"Aaron!" Aphmau yells, and this gets Aaron's attention. Aphmau walks towards Aaron's direction swiftly and does not hesitate to put both her hands on Aaron's face. She soon discovers that this is getting to be a habit of hers to calm Aaron down.

She caresses his face and soon caresses his lips. His pink, soft-looking lips. Aphmau's eyes then soon meet Aaron.

"I know that I'm not going to be with you physically in the future but I'll always be by your side..here." She points to Aaron's chest.

Aaron couldn't help but slightly smile. His expression softens at Aphmau's touch and he couldn't help but grab hold of her soft face too.

Aaron looks down at Aphmau's lips and has a sudden urge to kiss it, but he knows all too well that he mustn't. Not without her wanting it too. "Can I?" He asks.

Aphmau smiles and nods. "I've been waiting for you to ask that,"

He studies Aphmau's face for a while longer and approves of this. He starts to go near her face and tilts his head to the side a little so that their nose won't be touching. He notices Aphmau closing her eyes and so he follows.

Just when their lips are about to connect, a sound is heard. A sound that sounds more like someone's footsteps.

They pull apart awkwardly.

"Someone's here."
