I sit up gasping with tears streaming down my face, I couldn't stop myself shaking. I had another nightmare about her, about my mother. long story short she and my father split up before I was born because she didn't support his lifestyle and ya know, he was actually gay. she abused me as I grew up and so did her boyfriend so now that I'm finally living with my dad I'm slowly recovery, I have bad days and slightly better days but he's always there to dry my tears. I get out of bed and shakily walk along to his room, I peek around the door and manage to make out his sleeping silhouette in the dim lighting. I sneak in and slide into the bed next to him, his presence already helping me, I bite my lip as he shifts in his sleep. "Aliyah?" he mumbles sleepily, his eyes still closed. I nod despite him not looking "yeah... its me" I whisper, he sits up a bit and leans on his elbows. "are you okay?" he asks worriedly. "yeah... I just had a nightmare" I sat in a small voice, he looks at me with sad eyes "about her?" I nod and he lays down then pulls me close to him, I curl up and snuggle further into him. "you're safe, I'm here" I was still shaking and feeling a bit off from the dream. "just breath, match your breaths with mines and close your eyes. you need your sleep if we're driving to see adore, jinkx and Sharon tomorrow" I do as he says and already feel myself drift off "thank you" I whisper, my body relaxes and my eyelids grow heavy. "i love you" he whispers, I fall asleep with a smile on my face and didn't wake up until the next morning
