Ch#10 What do you know about cats?

"Mark everydate that's between September to February and stay here I'll back in a minute." Nico said as he left me with a large pile of files.
How did I get here you ask? At exactly 7 there was someone at the door to make sure I would be ready for work at 8 and since Mr smart-ass was responsible to make sure I learn everything he bought me to work and has been watching over me like a hawk like I would even do anything well maybe I would but still the amount of trust they have in me is overwhelming. But I mean come I've been sitting here since morning it's almost noon and I really need to stretch my legs and maybe get a something to drink.

The office was busy with its usual bodies running around, as I made my way to the coffee room. Fixing myself a cup of coffee I decided to see around the office just for a Minute because let's face it; sitting in an office all day for the rest of the life sounds exhausting.

This office is wayyy too big to be explored in a day and better yet easier to escape from I hope once I get my in's and outs because this time I have to make sure my plan is full proof because this time I'll surly be killed, surprisingly he didn't say anything about last night mostly I guess because I haven't seen him since last night's muffin fest.

"Where the hell is she?" I heard the booming voice of the ugly guy as I stepped out the elevator.
Man I have to get out of here he sounds way too angry I bet there's smoke coming out of his ears.
Crap! The elevator won't comeback. Please.. please ..please ...hurry up elevator God I really need to get out of here.

Finally!!! Thank God. Just as the elevator was about to close a well polished shoes struck in between the door. Of course there would be someone there who'd want to delay my escape even more. Better yet it was the one who I was trying to escape again!

"Look who we have here" He said as he stepped in and the doors closed.
"We're you trying to escape? Again!" He said with an angry but at the same time amused look as if he was mocking me and trying to scare me all at once.

"Why do you always like to test me little bunny?" He said and pressed the elavator stop button as I backed towards one of the corners as he invaded my personal space.
"I don't." I said. And He gave me a I don't believe you look.
"And I do have a name you know, it's Alexis why do you always call me stupid things that I usually don't understand." I blurted  out with anger... stupid stupid Alexis why are you digging yourself deeper.

The look on his face wasn't anger it was rather amusement as if what I said was funny.
"Reallllyy "Alexis", what do you think is stopping me from punishing you better yet put an end to your life for defying my orders over and over and over again." He said with his mouth near my ear dragging my name out.
I couldn't breathe much less speak one because he was way to close and two because I didn't have a reason.

"You don't want blood of an innocent on your hands?" I possed it more as a question.
He laughed a hearty laugh "if you really think I would think twice before Killing someone who's getting on my nerve? You've got a lot to learn about me." He said without any ounce of emotion as he got a call, starting the elavator back up and stepped back speaking in the phone that he Still have 3 hours left.

When we the elavator stopped Mr smart-ass was standing there after one look the angry guy went the other way to his office and Mr smart-ass grabbed my hand and took me back to the where I was working.
"What did you do to make boss even angrier?" He asked once within the walls of the room.
"WHAT? Why would you think I'll ever do you make him angry?" I said unbelievingly which caused me a completely unbelievable look.
"Do you even think before you speak?" He said amused.

I completely ignored his comment and got back to work. A few minutes later when it was lunch time the angry guy entered the office,
"The boss wants you in his office." He said to me.
"What? Why? It's lunch break. It's my right as a worker here." I replied angrily come on I'm hungry a girl gotta eat.
"Do you really think I care? The boss ordered you to get there now and you will follow those orders because it wouldn't take much to take you there by myself." He said.
"I'd like to see you try" I blurted out before I could register what I said he was coming towards me lifting me up from the chair like a sack of potatoes we were out the open in front of everyone to see as I punched and kicked him to let me go. And screaming to put me down and that I'll go by myself but why would he ever listen to me. Man he's strong..

Kicking the door open he entered the ugly guys office, who looked up to see the intrusion.
"I see she gave a bit of trouble." He said as he pointed towards a seat for the angry guy to drop me on because he really did dump me on it.
"Nothing more than usual." The angry guys replied as he nodded once at the angry guy sending a wary look my way he left the office leaving me alone with the ugly guy AGAIN.

He relaxed back into the chair giving me a look which was making me shrunk into mine.
"What do you know about cats?" He finally spoke after giving me the death glare.
"Cats? As in meowing little pets?" I asked just to make sure I heard right.
"Yes those cats, do you know where to find them?"He asked.
"Yeah, pet store you can adopt one there." I said.
"Pet store! Of course I can get one there." He said.
"Why do you need a pet cat?" I asked.
"That's none of your business, you're coming with me to get a cat."He said as he got up and grabbed his jacket.
"What? why?" I asked as I ran after him which was slightly difficult with the heals.
"Stop talking and get in the car" He said as he entered the drivers seat. He does drive after all and he's got an awesome car.

Once in the car, "Why do you need a cat all of a sudden? I didn't peg you as a cat person?" I said once we were on the way.
"I said it's none of your business." He said with finality.
Is he embarrassed that I know he's getting a cat?
"Well, since you had me skip my lunch break are you at least get me something to eat." I said as he send me a glare, causing me to shut of for the rest of the ride.

"Come on get out I'm not going to wait for you forever." He stood next to the door when I was taking a Minute to collect myself.
"I'm coming I'm coming, what's the hurry." I said as I stepped out of the car.

"Pick a cat, make sure it's a ginger and not too old." He said once we were inside.
"You're just going to stay here and let me pick a cat that you're gonna adopt?" I asked not that I wasn't excited that I get to pick a cat. I mean they're just soo adorable and cuddly and cute we'll get back to that later.
"Shut up and do what I say and I might let it go that you tried to escape." He said with a final breath I know he was trying not to Burst.

I looked around and found so many adorable one i even stopped to pet a few which got me warnings and glares in return from the ugly guy. Stupid ugly guy can't even see someone happy.
Till I found the perfect Little guy Who was begging to be adopted and petted.

"This one" I said as I passed it to the ugly guy who stepped back as if the cat would eat him. Is he really scared of a little cat? Just look at this little guys face who would not love him?
"Oh come on take it, it's not gonna bite you're the one who wanted a cat." I said as I passed it to him urging him to bet him.
"Keep that thing away from me, and get everything you need for him." He said turning back.
God why does he want to a cat if doesn't even want to look at it twice?
